Have yours truly take you to a legendary great punk/metal club that on occasion has famous bands play in the owners little VIP apartment above it that people would pay a buttload to have a ticket to!  If your with me, you don't need a ticket though;)

Or if you prefer blues or jazz type music I know another off-the-beaten path type place that is not on Rush or Michigan so it's not in any guidebook but has the potential to leave you with impressive memories of our little city!

Restaurants that aren't in the chcago magazine (not to my knowledge anyways) Sabatino's -Italian, Pot Pan-Thai, Hemingways Bistro - French, Papaspiros - Greek, Murai (I think it's in Chicago magazine though but it's sooo good it's worth the price)-Japanese, Gejas Cafe - fondue, Emilio's Tapas, Picante - Latin, Enjoy, Iggy's - American.

I hope this helps a little and don't forget that I'm a very top priority to accompany you to be a part of your "things to do" list;)

Just curious what would be some of the worth while things to do in downtown on a Wed night???

Things that are not to be missed that tourist typically dont know about....

Any suggestions?

Hmmm...I'd suggest finding a handsome fella and letting him buy you dinner (many fine restaurants to choose from).  Later, have him spring for the cab fare up to the Green Mill in Uptown, perhaps the finest jazz club in Amerca. Show him your appreciation afterwards and I'm certain he'll be generous.  Just a thought!
