Anyone have any luck recently buying VIP status?  I just tried using a Visa gift card, but it keeps declining the purchase because SegPay is from a "restricted country."  Before I go out and buy another type of gift card, has anyone had any luck with any recently?

I've contacted TER, but haven't heard back yet.

the higher ups will use a different method if your card is declined. It took me two times of bitching and threats of cancellation. I believe it was the method prior to them changing to the Euro crap.  After waiting 5 days for a response, they will send you a new link. It worked for me.

or is there probs using a regular credit card like I have been doing for 10 years?

I used a gift card a month ago, it worked fine!  Got a MC Vanilla from Walgreens!  I know it was a month ago because my VIP status just expired and can't read my emails!  What a bummer!

Did some research on this a couple of weeks ago & was told by the Visa people that a gift card can only be used in the United States. Visa Credit Cards should not be a problem.

Took me two attempts to the TER higher ups to correct their payment method.  Ever since they went to the Euro exchange, I've had problems.

My bank actually called my house to confirm my purchase!  Holy shit.  Good think I was there to answer.  The next day I changed all my phone access numbers to my cell phone.  Why don't they process this in the US?

More importantly, next time I am due, I would rather go buy a gift card.  How did you guys manage to get a gift card accepted?

Still haven't heard back from TER, but I hope they sort this out.  I would bet that a lot of people use the gift cards to buy VIP, so I'm guessing they will.

I'll have to try the MC Vanilla gift card that was mentioned and see if that works.

The gift card from Vanilla worked fine!  I got the Master Card version since a provider told me the Visa card didn't work!  I had no problem!  And no phone calls to confirm!!  I would never use a regular credit card.   Good luck!
