Lemme tell ya, trying to set something up in other cities SUCKS. Different rules, fewer choices, nobody uses TER or rs2K... I hope whoever I meet up with when I get back in a couple weeks is prepared LOL.

RS2K is really only popular in the Chicago area.  P411 & DC are more popular nationwide.  Also, TER is not the only game in town.  There are a ton of regional boards.  It is best to do some research before assuming everyone uses RS2K & TER.

I assumed nothing and I did my research, however the rules and processes in other places are often quite different and its not always the kind of things you can find out by RTFF.

Maybe it doesnt help that my own safety rules are a bit high.

Lots of providers out here only accept other provider references. Ok, no problem, but then they only list a phone for contact and say "no texts or emails". I dont know about you guys but trying to spell out a providers email or website over the phone is stupid.

I see a few providers who look great but wont accept emails or texts at all. No go for me.

I found a provider who has good reviews on another board, gave her provider refs but then never heard another word.

Long story short, I just miss chicago and all the hotties out there!

I have had some "interesting" experiences when traveling. More NCNS issues than I would experience here, and I definitely stand by my earlier theory on a grading curve for reviews relative to city size - the smaller the city, the lower the threshold to get good reviews. I think there are good and bad reasons for this. The good is that since there is less to choose from, the best ladies, no matter how good they are, get 8s, 9s, and 10s. So in some cities there may not really be any true 10s, but the best 7s get 10s.

The bad is that the community is small, so if you piss someone off by being a tough grader, you may never get to see anyone. So everyone gets good scores.

And all that is aside from the fact that there really are regional differences in style, so a lady who does not travel and gets herself all done up to be the hottest little thing in town, maybe is the hottest little thing in town, may be presenting something that would get a big, old hoot here.

Anyway, it sounds like you probably are in some smaller cities.

After resisting at first, I am increasingly going with agencies when I travel. Still tend to look for the Indies first, but I end up with an agency more often than not. Even then, I have had some strange experiences, but the selection and availability seem much better. And there is usually an agency or two serving every city if you look a bit.

Yep, smaller city. You make a lot of good points, sounds like we agree on a lot.

P411 seems to be the standard out this-a-way... but seems like providers out here want not only that but separate refs as well, which makes me think it's a waste of time. Their price, annual repeat billing, etc. really makes me appreciate what a great service RS2k is.

There are a few really cute girls here so it's a shame. But there are plenty of hotties in Chicago, so will have to make some plans for when I get back in a couple weeks.
