I recently saw a client, that I have seen before and this last visit I started to come down with the flu.  I was fevered and thought I would be contagious.  I contacted him the night before letting him know that I didn't want to pass the flu/virus or whatever to him.  He has since dug into my personal (non hobby) life and is now threatening me.  By this I mean threatening to expose this lifestyle to friends and family and coworkers.  Please tell me what my options are.  I am scared

Should not post for him to read that you are afraid. Bully's get off on other people's fear. Usually hate to stoop to other person's level, but surely he has family members that are unaware of his hobbying. Again that is not the preferred route here, since often everyone but the culprit is hurt.  But sorry and hope the best for you.

If he's ur regular why is he doing this? I mean I can't imagine someone going all Pyscho cuz u cancelled an appt due to illness... Any respectable hobbyist would understand when provider cancels with reason as u state u did.....  How does he even know your personal life?   There's a fine line between professional & personal... I have couple ATFs who know me personally but I've known them since I started & they would NEVER EVER pull some Bullshit like this... I would call bluff... It goes both ways, I'm assuming you have his personal info as well...  Be note to self... Be very careful of whom u trust cuz this business is DOG EAT DOG!!!! This is one of the risks we take in the hobby, providers and hobbyists alike. There are shady people in this industry. My question to you is, how does he know so much about your (Non Hobby) lifestyle? I would guess that you probably told him at some point? If that's the case, you made a big mistake.  

Regardless, this dude is a scum for threatening you like this.

You bring up a good point. Hopefully she has his real name so, if she needs to, she can do the right thing and get the right help to bring the law into it if she has to.

Unfortunately, an example is that some do not get all of the guy's info, and - alas - we end up with snoopers. They snoop, snoop, snoop to find out our real names. Then use it against the girl. They're more likely to blackmail if they know we don't have theirs.  

A male bully is much scarier than a female bully, for sure. Especially one with lots of money.

Sadly, I've heard this story too many times. They usually don't do anything but intimidate and jack off to the terrorized girl's emails, but it can be very traumatizing for the girl.

I still say she does it the old fashioned way and gets the two big guys to meet up with him, then see what he has to say. Watch him crawl under a rock and hide and never show up.  

You know who kids bully in school? The ones who are afraid. Also the ones who bring their parents to school. The ones who get left alone either beat the snot out of the other kids when they mess with them, or the ones have a lot of big friends and mingle in packs. This guy is by himself, and wants to bring his mommy into the mix.

Whether we have the full story or not isn't the point. Who knows what she did. But what he's threatening is wrong and he's misusing his position in this case.

You know Court, it only takes one whack job to ruin it for everyone and this is true on both sides. This is why we constantly debate the release and possible misuse of personal info. We don't know how he found her real info...either she wasn't discrete or he found some other way to ID her but you know guys like this aren't the norm around here. And we guys know that whack job providers aren't the norm either.

I understand her fear - I once had that same fear from a provider I used to be close to. I like Mike's solution - he's good as fixing these types of problems and this guy needs some fixin'.

But the whole point that seems to be missed about personal info, is the bad stuff that can happen if a rational fear on everybody's part... And most people aren't doing their research for the purpose of outing anyone else. And yes, people misuse it, just like idiots misuse the road by driving after a couple if drinks or texting. No one wants to drive by one of those people, because lives get ruined forever by them. But most drivers are pretty safe, which helps me shoot down the highway for done good music & chill time.

Yes, the women are at more risk (when it comes to death) when you consider the variables. But don't forget, about a year ago, a well known teacher was murdered by a provider at his home in the south suburbs.

You'd be surprised how many escorts are secret drug and/or alcohol addicts. Those secrets are generally well hidden until one has a revealing experience and then it becomes a tough decision whether to keep seeing them or not. It's easy to justify not seeing drug addicts because of the extra legal risk involved. Alcoholics are a different story, it's not illegal but she becomes a risk in other ways.

She really doesn't seem to care for men much, not even her clients, or maybe ESPECIALLY her clients. It must suck to do something you hate so much, and be forced to do so because nothing else you can do pays even a tenth of the money.

I would have to agree, it would probably be best for all parties concerned if she were to get out of the business.

They obviously do not understand that MEN kill WOMEN every day.  It is not limited to the john-ho relationship.  In fact, 99% of the man on woman crime, the woman knows the man.  

These fools think that knowing a man's name will prevent them from getting murdered.  They obviously do not read the news.  That, or they don't understand basic statistics.
