As long as they fairly represent the person on the other side, it doesn't matter who took the photo.  Think of what is going thru their minds as to what we look like!! :)

Look at the two providers' posts with pix - one by Piper and one by Tia Travels. Isn't it obvious?

And there's a more important distinction between those who show their faces, those who blur their faces and those who crop out their faces.

Especially in Illinois.  The risk of not doing so is too great.  Sorry guys!

Take in consideration: Most respectable providers have lives outside the hobby. Those with judgmental friends and family can't go around jumping up and down yelling "I'm an escort" which is what you are doing when you show your face.

And in case you don't have that or don't care who knows, think of plausable deniability in general. Hotels are working more and more with LE. Your ad says your touring XYZ area-and some morally righteous manager starts looking out for the girls in the ads.

Password protect pages that show your face, offer to send face pics to gents that agree to be screened...so many ways to work around it and stay safe. The safer we are, the more you gents can feel safe.

on how photogenic you are, I guess. I agree with a post above about faces. Personally, if you're photogenic and are willing to have your face up then I prefer amateur pictures as there are ladies that can pull this off very well and I like those candid shots much better than professional pics.

However, once the face is out of the equation then I'd have to say that pro pics will be better for your business.

For someone like myself who has a career and obligations outside of hobby the perils of having my face plastered all over Internet are just too great.  I blur face on all my pics and it one of two alterations i make to photos.  Another is resizing.

I may do myself a disservice short term since I have been told that my eyes and smile are amazing, but few missed appointments are not worth possibility of being definitely recognised in corporate situation or at a charity event. Hobby wise, I never ever had a problem of someone not recognising me based on my blurred photos.

Another reason for me blurring the face is the fact that a lot of my appointments take place in social setting.  When I accompany someone in public I make sure that I blend in environment.

There is a balance between making your date proud for attending event with attractive well dress woman on his arm and maintaining discretion. Last thing i want is for the gentleman to be embarrassed if we ran into one of his friends or colleagues and they would go "wait a minute .. isn't your date THE Sensual Lina?"

PS some hotels these days keep photos of traveling providers on file and do notify LE.

I tend to like the amateur ones better, but as long as they are accurate it's not a big deal at all.

The cell phone camera shots are all the rage...

What I prefer to see though is that the ladies include an ass shot somewhere in the portfolio.

I don't mean necessarily a bareassnaked ass shot, lingerie, jeans, anything.

Most do, but as an unabashed assman, if a lady doesn't have one on her site, it lessens the chance I'll call.

I think a provider has to do what's safe for her.  I have no problem with making an appointment with a provider who blurrs her face.  I admit it, I am a sucker for a pretty face, and love it when I can see as much as you'll show. But as long as I can see just a little, it's fine. Like just the mouth, or just the eyes. I know you need to protect your private lives, and stay safe, and I'm with you all the way on that.   Sometimes just a look at a carefully blurred picture gives a good idea, and is a nice tease that makes it worth it.
