I'm honest with my parents, they don't know how far it goes but they know I do it to pay for school. My sister, brother know as well. No one agrees with it but are supportive until I am done with school I will quit the business. As far as friends I don't have many do to the not-so-normal lifestyle I live. They couldn't keep up with my bar tab. Hahaha. I find being honest is best. Even worse if your family finds out I think.

If you work as a provider with DD silicones and 6 pack abs all you need to to is go back to natural boobs, gain 20 pounds, and change your hair.  If anyone confronts you with former pics you just say "I wish" and laugh it off.

I once saw a lesbian porn flick starring a girl at my company in one of the departments I supervised, but I couldn't say anything because that would have been a tipoff that I was watching porn. So there's always a real good chance that someone who knows can't tell. For escorts even more than porn stars.

Most of the ones I know who do this either have a family who knows, they don't care or they are simply not worried about who might discover them. I do not know anyone who would spend years in college just to toss that away by being oblivious, so those are the ones I usually have to laugh at unless their major was in a field related to sex work. No company I have ever worked for would put up with this, that is for sure... even if their CEO was seeing hookers. It simply does not look well to the conservatives who use their products and services to hire sex workers.. it is afterall, still illegal in most places.

People EXPECT me to be a whoremongering pig, and I hate to disappoint.  

I knew one (in a different city) who used her real name in her ads along with showing her face. And when I met her, she told me who her family was and everything. They were local big shots, involved in business and politics, and apparently they were huge a-holes and she hated their guts.

how Facial Recognition Technology (FRT) and also how the human eye recognizes people. (Interestingly, on the human side, different races and cultures actually tend to recognize different facial features more or less easily.) I happen to have a face that is in general low on the FRT scale. The particular shape of my face photographs in such a way that it looks like a very different face with only minor shifts in camera angle or lighting.  Growing up, this quirk was the bane of my family photograph experience! Now, though, it works really well in my favor.

Discretion is a 2-way street, and there's enough stigma involved with sex work to keep most fears about exposure at bay.

Well said, but someone going through hell to out you is not exactly like doing it yourself. I agree, anyone who truly wants to harm you can probably find out some info, but where is the proof? For instance, let's just say someone posts a provider or hobbyist's real name on the net saying they dabble here.... where is the proof that connects that name to the handle? There is none without some way to 100 percent identify them. A gal who hides her face can flat out say she was never the girl who showed up, and guess what... many times she is not lol. It's called bait and switch. Kinda hard to pull that bs off when you are the same face in the photos and the one showing up.  

A lot of my family members know what I do. And, if they don't I wouldn't mind if they found out. I am not ashamed of what I do.

I'm more worried about LE and Uncle Sam. Just sayin'.
