Aside from that... I understand your dismay at the situation; believe me. I encountered a similar situation for an outcall this week. But you know what? I didn't out the guy. You read her reviews. You read about the prepaid visa. If that was unsettling, perhaps you shouldn't have booked. Bottom line: regardless of reviews and references, if something doesn't seem right, it probably isn't. Trust your gutI've seen Angelica 4 or 5 times, always have had a great time with her. She has high marks on her reviews and they are well deserved although she has had an issue in the past with being on time. However, two things have happened recently that bother me and I now feel compelled to sound a word of caution for others who might be affected.
First of all, I used her as a reference while traveling out of town a couple of weeks back. About two days later I received a completely unsolicited text message from her about 5:30am (yes, 5:30am) telling me she was in my part of Chicago that day if I wanted to see her. Ladies, don't EVER, EVER send unsolicited text messages. Luckily my SO was not with me at the time or it could have been a real mess.
Secondly, I had been out of town for awhile and just came home this past Monday afternoon. I was in the mood, sent her an email and text. She told me she would be available about 9pm. I told her that would work; shortly after I received another text that asked if 9:30 would be ok. I said it would be and even offered to get the hotel room if that was an issue. She replied soon after that she already had the hotel room, but needed some extra funds for "incidentals" while checking in. She asked if I could stop and get a prepaid Visa card for $25 that she could use for the incidentals hold on the room. Having seen Chitownluda's recent review of her (February 2014), this scenario sounded familiar and somewhat unsettling. I asked her to first let me know the hotel she was at as I was not going to go to the trouble of getting a prepaid Visa unless I had confirmation she was actually at a specific hotel. This was about 30 minutes before we were to meet. I received no reply and no response; I sent several more texts with no reply. I followed up Wednesday morning with another text looking for an explanation but still have received no reply. I'm pretty sure nothing bad has happened as I see she is and has been on P411 the past several days (and right now as I type).
Not looking to bash her, she is a sweet person and her high marks are well deserved when you can actually meet her, but I think it appropriate to give other hobbiests a heads up when trying to book with her going forward as her actions have been inconsiderate at best. You should also see Chitownluda's recent review as well. YMMV. Website is attached.
PS - I realize this may not qualify as a true NC/NS since I never received an actual address, but having dealt with her in the past, this type of uncoordinated communication was not unusual. I had actually left my house to hit the ATM and was still trying to communicate with her in the process.
I'm not married, so I don't have to worry about someone being around all the time. My SO is only over once a week at the most, but 5:30am is a ridiculous time to text someone. Would be hard to explain that away. I may have to take your advice although having a second phones conjures images of Walter White's undoing in Breaking Bad!!!

I was actually very complimentary of her and my previous visits. All I did was state the facts and the efforts I made to give her ample time and opportunity to address the issue. So apparently you believe providers should be able to blow off customers with impunity? Good to know for future reference.
As far as you not "outing" the guy who did the same to you, that's your mistake. There are quite a few providers who clearly state a NCNS will result in being blacklisted and the situation communicated to other providers. I'll wait for you to bash these providers as well.......but I think I will be waiting quite a long time.
You apparently didn't have a problem with the review of her and the prepaid Visa. In fact, you said I should have used that as a guide to determining whether or not to see her (trust your gut, right?). That's all this is - a public service announcement to other providers so they can make informed decisions. I like Angelica, always had a great time with her. But she needs to be more professional and accountable to those who are taking time to see her and spend their money doing so. I don't think that is bashing anyone, its simply an observation based on her behavior.
It's not okay to blow off a client and expect no repercussions. But what you did was out her publicly, despite having had other great experiences with her. That's what I don't understand.
Now, of course I blacklisted him. It's the only way that providers can warn other providers in a discrete manner concerning a hobbyist who is dangerous, a time-waster, or NCNS. Doing this anonymously also keeps providers safe. But blacklisting a hobbyist doesn't infringe upon said hobbyists' income. When you out a provider publicly like you just did, despite having had other positive experiences with her, you affect her livelihood.
TER is a review site. Her reviews, my reviews, everyone's reviews give other hobbyists more than enough insight into a provider's work ethic and skill; reviews "out" providers in and of themselves. If you had a bad experience, since you can't review NCNS, you could have posted a topic about it, and told others that cared to know who it was that you'd be happy to discuss the matter in private.
And if others wanted to make an informed decision about her, they'd read her reviews and come to their own conclusions. If you like her so much, as you claim, you should have had this conversation with her in a private manner and addressed any concerns other hobbyists had in private as well.

TER IS a review site; but as you point out, you can't review someone for a NCNS. Why is it OK to give someone a negative public review for using fake pictures, bait and switch, not providing a satisifactory experience (whatever that man mean) etc. but it's not OK to give a publilc review of a NCNS? There is no difference. Yes, I could spell it out in general, non-specific terms and have 50 people PM me for the details, but I don't have the time/want to take the time to deal with multiple inquiries. She is the one who created this situation, not me.
Just as you say in your last paragraph, others can read "her reviews" (and my post) and come to their own conclusions.
Finally, please explain to me how, if she won't answer my private texts and messages asking for an explanation, I am to have "this conversation with her in a private manner"???? SHE DIDN"T CALL and SHE WON'T REPLY!! Not that hard to understand.

I agree with Erin. While I can understand the frustration, I feel like there's nothing here that is actual news to me. IMO, all of it seems in par with what I've read in her reviews..

I have read all of your posts and although Ms. Amore has taken some hits lately, I say please give her a break. I have also seen her and she is sweet, pleasant, intelligent and an awesome provider. And yes, I have also had some misadventures with her. But I happen to know that she is going through some tough stuff right now and I believe we should give her the benefit of the doubt. I know this is a temporary thing and she will continue on to be the great and reliable provider she has been in her entire past. Just look past the last few reviews. Those who feel differently, wait for better review I am sure will come. Just my 2 cents.
with checking a provider into a hotel, did that once and due to issues with a coupon I sat for
30 minutes in a cold parking lot so will NEVER do that again. Happy hobbies
