A little worried about considering chicago as a touring destination due to discretion. Lately most of my co workers are in and out of ohare so I'm thinking about possibly going to Oakbrook, just not to sure yet if I should go on this direction.

Oakbrook(Dupage county) is known to have high volume of LE

Great economy, great hotels, great stores, shopping centers, restaurants, it's a ritzy area. Being a local, it took a while for me to establish clientele, but I've toured there in the past, and did an excellent job there.

Thank you. Being a local in my area actually helps (clients know you'll see them often so they have no problem being a regular) Visiting ladies struggle a little here but then again my state is small.
Not sure how Chicago would be for me but if I go Oakbrook will probably be it.  

Oak brook is as safe as any area you can find, if you just use good judgement and common sense...just like in any city

Yeah, oak brook, or I know a lot of people tour to Schaumburg and O'Hare as well. All are pretty safe areas, but Oak Brook has been nice to me. Again, it took me about three months advertising there as my main location to get a nice client base. It's a very nice area, especially if you have a vehicle.

Wholeheartedly agree!  I've hobbied in Oak Brook some years back, and never had problems.  But now I prefer downtown Chicago, due to its crowded "hide in plain sight" aspect, and accessibility by public transit.
