I have a friend who is a very low-volume, under-the-radar "provider".  I use the quotes because she just barely qualifies (she's demure about it, but I'm thinking once every few weeks, one or two appointments; it might be less than that).  She primarily (maybe even solely) uses CL Casual Encounters w4m postings to find guys (her ads get banned very quickly).  I'm sure the exact details of her dates vary, but in general she *way* undercharges for her (quite competent and pleasant) services and time.

She's 29, petite and feminine, very pretty, good-natured, genuinely interested in people and (on a certain level, we all know what I mean) enjoys what she does.  So she's quite "marketable".  Were I to review her, I think I'd go with 9/9 (she likes girls).

I've told her since we first met that she could be making quite a bit more money (even with the same small number of appointments), and that I thought she *should* be--this business, however lightly dabbled in, is still dangerous and exhausting, physically and mentally.  She's willing to listen, but has no desire to be a full-time escort, or to do it "for real", meaning a website, ads on Eros/RS2K (or here), etc.

What's her best course of action?  I think a review here is the most bang for the buck... it lets potential clients know she's legitimate, gives them an idea of what to expect on a date, and at least selects a *little* (buying/earning VIP may not be much, but it's something--currently she only does a bit of Googling).  A TER review is trusted, content-rich publicity, delivered to a lucrative, self-selecting market, for free.  How can that be beat?

I haven't yet suggested it to her.  I'd love to hear others' thinking.  Thanks in advance, from me and hopefully her as well.

... I'd love to see her, even on a casual infrequent basis.

An ad on BP is the minimum she could do to get a review here. Start from there.

A TER review means you are absolutely a pro.  Since she seems super hesitant about that, and doesn't need volume, WYP and SA are both very good.

She must have a web presence, either an advertisement or a website.  I don't think a CL ad in the casual encounters section qualifies.

just leave her be..if she is comfortable with her current UTR status..fine..do not try to talk her into something she will probably regret later..getting into this business is not for everyone..peace of mind always trumps money..

She'll meet local hobbiests and providers who are plugged into this community.  If she's attractive and personable, she'll be able to get a few new clients (and she won't have to do as much screening, since people at meet-and-greets can be well-known hobbyists.) Then she can get a word-of-mouth reputation, thereby staying UTR.

Check your motives and honestly ask yourself who you're trying to help.

Valid point--I was wondering if someone would make it.  I have asked myself that.

I don't think I'm in danger of convincing her to do something she doesn't want to do.  Remember, I only entered the picture *after* she'd decided to do it at all.  I'm only encouraging her to understand that she has other options (and they might be massively better than her current choices).

Anyway, thanks for the inputs, all.  Certainly more helpful than the ~20 PMs I got saying "Can I meet her?"

Wasn't essentially the point of your post "How can I help my UTR provider increase her business"?  But then when 20 guys PM you about seeing her, you completely dismiss them.  Seems like that is the easiest way for her to increase her business and possibly establish some regular clientele with minimal effort.  Posting what you did invited that attention.  No need to act indignant about the private responses you got.

Sorry, I didn't intend indignance.  Nothing *wrong* with the PMs, and I'm going to offer contact with those guys as an option to her.  I was only saying the "Can I meet her?" responses didn't address the question I asked directly.

As for my motive(s), I can't be completely candid for privacy reasons.  But the biggest part of it is that it allows me to participate in a hobby I enjoy in a new way.  I've become close friends with a couple providers over the years and sharing in their experiences has added immeasurably to my own.  So there's definitely a self-serving aspect.

If not, don't volunteer it or you're acting like her pimp. If you like her and she's comfortable with the level of activity she has, leave her be. Only help her if she asks you for help.

And usually refered by regulars. Unless she asks for your help then I would let do her own thing. If she does ask it's good to lend your advice and have her peruse the boards.
