Is it asking too much to ask for a confirmation the day before a scheduled appt to avoid any confusion and a no-show?  Last week, I called a very highly rated provider to book an appt while I am in town on business.  I will only be there a short time so finding/booking someone else would be a problem if she doesn't show up.  Since the appt. was booked so far out, I have PM'd her, and texted her several times to confirm we are still on for tomorrow and am getting NO response.  I am assuming she got a better offer or for some unknown reason, just decided she does not want to see me.  That is fine, but can't she at least respond to me and tell me she won't be there (or will be there)?  Do you consider it harrassing you if a client texts or PM's you in advance just to make sure you are still going to make it?  Should I post her name if she no calls and no-shows me?

I wouldn't flat-out report her as an NCNS without at least trying to ask her what the deal is.  There's always a slight chance that it could have been an honest mistake.  Of course, if the NCNS was very flagrant (such she saw you from her window and decided not to answer her phone, or she gave you fake directions), then by all means, report as soon as you have a chance to get on TER.  

In your case, an e-mail or a phone call would have been better than a text; many providers don't like texting anyway.  I see nothing wrong with a brief "are we still on?" message when you book far in advance, and I'd second-guess my decision to book with a provider who wouldn't answer it.

Having been through this twice in the past few weeks, let me give you some advice. First, don't continue pestering her for a reply. Some ladies have a bad reaction to being pestered. One message, two at the most, then drop it. The ball's in her court at that point and if she doesn't reply, the appointment is off. There's plenty of porn on the internet, get my drift, LOL?

Keep your phone on the day of the appt (see, I learned from my train wreck) and if she wants to see you, she'll contact you. If she doesn't, it's NC/NS and I think you're justified in posting her handle. That step shouldn't be taken lightly. OTOH, this seems to be happening a lot lately and there has to be respect on both sides. Our time is valuable too ladies.

I always ask the day before if we are still on and I have always been getting a response within 5 min. Send her one e-mail, then follow with a phone call or whatever her preferred contact method is. DO NOT over do it though. 1 or 2 tries is enough. I think that is common sense. As far as posting her name, whoever she is, I would suggest first to wait a bit more and see if she gets back to you. If she does, she might even say that she would like to make it up to you if she is very highly reviewed like you said.

I agree with the others that posting a handle makes it intensely personal and invites Train Wreck Wednesday, or whatever.  I think you have to be the best judge of when to assume an appointment is off.  May I also suggest some of our fine agencies, such as Downtownladys or ECE?

Well,  I personally at least send a email or two especially if It is that far out just to make sure were on for myself as well as my friend.

I think if she had a confirmed apt with you, she should have been curtious enough to let you know she cant meet. If she did not have a confirmed apt she owed you no contact (however it would have been nice).

If she NC/NS you, Maybe send her one email a day after saying. I thought we were on for this day at this time. You never contacted me between but also did not cancel the apt. I am considering this a NC/NS but would like to work it out before I leave a NC/NS complaint.


This way it gives her the ability to fix what she did. If she blows up or blows you off....do what you will.

about the lack of communication....and of course it is Not consider harrassing to communicate...I know for myself...when someone schedules an appointment a month out...I do a count down and they hear from me once or twice a week...the build up of the anticipation is always Fun...and I Will say the position You are in right now...really sucks...because You haven't heard anything...if You don't make another appointment You could end up with No Happy Ending...and then on the flip side...if You do make another appointment she could suddenly call You and get upset and say You are the NC/NS...me personally...I would schedule a for sure thing and get a new appointment after I sent out an e-mail stating if I do not hear from You within the next 2 hours I am scheduling an appointment with someone else. It's just simply called consideration and respect to follow up communication so we are on the same page...nothing more and nothing less...it only takes 30 seconds to confirm an appointment and keep the excitment going

When you scheduled the appointment, the provider should have given you some instructions about when to confirm.  I normally say 1 week prior and subsequently the day prior.  This takes the guesswork out of communication.

However, there have been times when gents have confirmed daily.  This is too much for two reasons.  First, its hard to respond to emails, prescreen clients, see clients and have a personal life if every client were to do this.  Secondly, believe it or not, the guys who write daily are far more likely to cancel last minute.  It does not make sense, but its true all the same.  So the lady may begin to wonder if this is what will happen.

Be patient and wait for her response.

Most of my dates are planned a month or more in advance, since it's always when I'm travelling. I will always call the lady or send her an email a week or so before our appointment. If I don't hear back from her in a day or two, I will try to contact her one more time. If I don't hear back from her by the following day, I start looking elsewhere. I figure three days to respond is more than adequate. So far, I have only had to employ this one time, and it worked out fine. As it turned out, the lady did call me the day before the appointment. I let her know that I had made other arrangements and she understood. In fact, we did get together on my next trip to her city.

As far as outing her on the board, I would give her some time to respond, even a few days AFTER the scheduled appointment. I would try to keep any communication private, but I'm just a guy who tries to avoid board bullshit anytime that I can.

I appreciate your thoughts.  I still think that if you are doing "business", then answering a simple text or email, even if it is daily for a week (which it was not from me) is not too much to ask as a small "part of the price of doing business".  Everyone knows the frustration of a NCNS.  It is is especially for me as somoeone that only does this once or so per year.  Anyway, I did hear back this AM from the provider's NEW asst. in a message that she wants to work things out but I have not been able to get back in touch with her.  I will keep ya'll posted.

I think the 2 best ways to communicate with a provider are email and phone. I would use a PM as a distant 3rd and never texting unless she has communicated to you that way in the past.

Yes she should of told you to confirm as Sinful mentioned above. Communication is important but believe it or not there are certain clients who DO email every day only to cancel so you don't want to go overboard on it however she could be as Sinful stated above dealing with an overload of emails; Or even worse a trip to the hospital due to flu, a family death or some sort of other tragedy. Most of us established and highly recommended gals will be sure to get back to our clients within 72 hours if we've had a tragedy. However sometimes that's not the case due to not having our phone or email. But being patient to find out what happened is important.
Us gals go through this ALL the time and most the time we have the NCNS but we have to just move on and be exceptionally great at scheduling LOL...

Sorry to hear this happened to you...I do understand and have had other clients tell me they too have had it happen to them. When you're traveling time and scheduling is of the essence!

Some providers like communicating a lot, others don't. Take the hint if she doesn't reply in a timely manner and don't bother her. One or two the day before the appt is fine, even on the day of the appt.

Good to hear she's working this out with you. My disaster was worked out over a half-hour phone call which I should have made the day before. Communication on both sides is important to avoid misunderstandings and hard feelings but only to the degree that the provider is OK with. Don't overdo it.
