Screening: potential "new" clients, please read.

I am speaking on my behalf and what is relayed in this message is based on my experiences only.

Other providers, please feel free to chime in if you are experiencing, or have experienced, some of the same asinine behavior from potential "new" clients as myself. This is not the behavior of all new clients, many come to the table with the requested information, no problem. There also many that call or send an email, seeming as though they have not read the provider's website, or post clearly.

For the last few months now, I get a overwhelming number of emails, and phone calls from potential new clients who want to set up an appointment, usually same day. Wanting to arrange an appointment is fine. Then, when I remind them that there is a screening process, "oh, what is that", " what type of information do I have to give", "I can't give any personal information out because I am married", and on and on.

I know for a fact that most providers, including myself, in the Chicago area at least mention some form of screening on their personal websites, and also in their posts on various message boards.

The point: SCREENING is REQUIERED and there will be no exceptions!!! No, exceptions means no exceptions. For potential new clients, we (providers) know that you require discretion, most of us like discretion too. We know that you are married, have kids, good job, and so on...Many of us have a great need for discretion as you do. We clearly inform you what screening requirements are in place. What is so difficult to understand? I can imagine the thoughts that go through a persons mind in regard to giving such personal information to a complete stranger. If that is the case, then please, don't contact me, or any other providers, until you are comfortable with whatever screening process a particular provider may use, so that you can arrange your visit.

Ok, I am off of my soap box.

Good morning, everyone!!

Again, I understand the nature of the hobby and discretion is important.  But there is information that is requested via unsecure websites or emails.  (IT professional, 22 years)  My reluctance is the  trail and/or unsecure venues asking pretty personal stuff.

Finally, some providers websites should be sweet and to the point.  I am not interested in your abilities to use Flash or whatever.  I sometimes miss a providers details because I have to go through numerous pages to find it.  Like going thru a multimedia yellow pages.

Ok, I'm done.  Maybe I'll join RS2K one day, but I aint given up credit card info via email.
