Ladies can you tell me if it is worth it. Is your schedule more free to focus on the clients? That is my concern with having to answer and book everything myself.

I'm seeing if there are any other assistants that cater to Chicagoans. Many don't advertise they have one and many women work for the same assistant so just seeing who else is out there. There is an interesting blurb about assistants on the general board that I found interesting as well.

If a provider I'm interested in seeing has an assistant, it makes it sound more like a handler or pimp. No thanks.  

Those were my thoughts at first too but I have to ask would u think this even if it was a woman asst? Both sides would have to be careful because it would be considered pimping and pandering either way under the law.

I would just move on to next provider. I would be skeptical raise a red flag with me

When I had an assistant it definitely opened my schedule up, showed me new tricks on organizing /labeling my emails, screening tricks, general professionalism and helped with connections (photographers, websites I didnt know about, general going ons in the community, tour info- since she had girls working in other cities). I always stayed pretty active in my emails. If you are concerned with gentleman being turned off by having an assistant you can delegate tasks and still be in your emails. I am happy to make recommendations privately. Personally, if an assistant reaches out to me, it makes me wonder why. When I was providing those services I was too busy with what was on my place to do direct marketing like that. I had my site up and ladies that were interested found me.  

I know two providers who had assistants and gave them decent salaries. But it made the screening process harder for new clients and turned off a few who wanted to deal directly with the provided, as I do. Also, they have access to too much information that may work against you should they go to work for another provider or agency.
