I've also seen a few reviews over the years, where guys have decided to punish ladies with low scores.  I think some of the reasons for this are:

1) The lady refused to do a service not on her menu [Greek, CIM, BBFS, etc].
2) The guy had horrible hygiene and refused to take a shower when called out on it.  Also, his attitude plays a factor if the session is a success.
3) The guy crossed a boundary and fell in love with a provider.  When denied true romance with the provider, he feels like a jilted lover.

These pussies then think that a low review score will kill the provider's business.  I remember a loser giving a 6 in looks to one of the hottest ladies in Chicago.  His review got taken down right away.  He wrote the review because the lady turned down his romantic advances.  As I've said before, HOBBYING IS NOT DATING!

The tough part is when the reviewer writes a truthful review.  We know that inflated reviews exist in TER.  We also know that some providers request specific review scores or threaten payback.  It is these truthful reviews that should remain in the TER database.  The tough part is what camp does the review fall under, fake or truthful.  For me, it boils down to the credibility of the lady and the reviewers.

Is it an ego trip? Does it make you feel powerful? Are you trying to punish her? Do you think it will hurt her? What is it? Why? What's your point?

Or maybe you were such a disrespectful and disgusting pig that even one of the top providers couldn't pull it off with you?

I just don't get it. Over the past few days I've seen reviews where guys gave low score for looks to providers that have exceptionally high ratings (9+). I really have hard times understanding why would they do that.

I know that serious hobbyist will just dismiss reviews like these, but still, it bothers me to see it happen.

I would suggest that guys who write a review and don't give your/my favorite gal that high rating (as we have determined) is more of a blow to our own egos.  No question the lady in question might have been offended at a "lower score", but that is the life of an escort here.

The way I look at this (and keep in mind this discussion is being very heavily debated on other discussion boards here) as a "john" who simply didn't see her as you/I might have seen her.  I have specific physical characteristics I look for, and I suspect you and every other "john" do as well.  When we go and see that 9+ gal she may not be the "type" we thought she was going to be.  And am I surprised to see a lower "appearance" rating when that happens..hell no..It's human nature.  On the flip side, there are a number of gals (both locally and traveling) that will bully a guy into issuing a higher score (and in that case it is clearly the escort's ego as well as their TER 100 listing that is hurt).

Has this been happening forever?  I would think that the answer to that is a resounding YES!

The other argument is that the guy is an asshole and just has it out for her.  And that is also the part that is being heavily debated on other discussion boards.

A few weeks ago a provider came on her bitching about an appearance score, and she was promptly given a handful of 10/10's.  

So why are you so damn concerned about someone else's scores?

I think it is often a simple matter of individual perspective.  After all, on a 10 point scale, a 5 should be average, right?  That is, not great but certainly not bad..... definitely passable.  Using the same logic, a 6 or 7 could be regarded as being significantly above average.  What I find fascinating is the written reviews from some of these guys you're referring to.  Their actual descriptions are often of a stellar experience with a stunning provider, often ending their review with "I will repeat."  This further supports the point.

I will agree that the rating system should be tweaked in order to minimize these inconsistencies.  For instance, many have suggested getting rid of the #10 = "One in a Life Time" description.  By this classification, no rater could logically ever give more than one 10 rating in their life.

LOL. I had this happen to me where a local lady try to appeal to TER to change my score of her. She has a lot of positive reviews, but wasn't happy with my scoring of her. The way I see it, a provider has to EARN a high score, you're not entitled to them because of whatever your averages may be. I score her fairly according to TER precedents and drew her wrath. She should have just delivered as she normally did....

I guess I don't really understand your rant.  You think that just because a guy gave a 7 in looks to a provider who has a bunch of 9s is trying to be a jerk?    Did you ever consider that perhaps he just didn't think she was a 9?  Or perhaps she just has a bunch of inflated scores from previous posters?  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  One man's 10 may be another man's 5.  Who are we to judge another man's personal preferences with regards to looks?  

Personally, I think there are far too many 9s being given out.  I am a harsh grader myself.  Not because I have an issue with the lady, or have an ego, or am trying to feel "powerful" as you say.  But I compare providers on the same level as some of the top models... I don't compare them with the average woman I see every day.  Why? Because I'm not paying the average woman I see every day for intimacy.  When I am paying, I have a higher standard for looks and I score accordingly.

I've seen a number of providers with a history of 9s... only to be disappointed.  Lets face it, there are guys out there who give 9s to everyone.  I applaud those guys who give a score based on their opinion and not that of every previous reviewer or with the intention of trying to score brownie points with the provider. I'm a serious hobbyist and I don't dismiss reviews like these.  I read them and scrutinize them to find out why they had a different opinion than the status quo.  Sometimes I find these reviews are fishy, and sometimes I've appreciated them for honesty and lack of inflation.

And what the hell is wrong with a 7??  That sure is hell ain't ugly.  I think if a reviewer is trying to hurt a provider with a numerical score, it will be confirmed with the tone of the narrative they write.

Well when it comes to looks you can't say she deserved a set score. Maybe she didn't have her hair and makeup done.  Maybe the guy just wasn't into her.  Some guys like blonds, some like brunettes or red heads.  Some like them skinny and others thick.  Guys like different things.  I have debates with my friends all the time. Girls that they think are gorgeous I wouldn't even tap that.  Megan Fox comes to mind.  Some guys think she's the hottest women on the planet but to me I don't see it.

If a majority of reviewers see a provider as a 9 in looks, either she's that hot or all the reviewers are guilty of grade inflation. Or maybe she's really an 8. Looks are highly subjective and like I said on the GD board, numerical ratings of human beings is highly subjective. No written rules can help us judge the appearance of another person.

Providers have an aversion to 7's and this is exacerbated by the fact that historically, scores have been inflated. Grade inflation isn't only due to pressure from providers, it's also due to hobbyists looking to gain favor with providers, not wanting to negatively impact their business, or simply going with the flow.

One 7 on appearance means little in a sea of 9's. It's an aberration and we ignore it.

No doubt there are some hobbyists with questionable motives, but one man's 9 could be another's 8 or 7.  After all, Isn't this what these reviews are for?  There are many 9 or 10 looks grades out there that the provider, however nice, does not warrant.  Yes, even for the top Chi-town ladies.  Be real dudes..."model material"...no way.

I never really worried about pissing off the provider with a more modest looks grade, but another reason I think there is grade inflation is that we all think way too much with our little heads, and after a wondrous session, the provider always looks better than reality.  Just another viewpoint.

If 5 is average then at least 25 percent of the scores should be below 5.  I find the numerical ratings almost useless.  You have guys rating every girl they see a 9-9.  Thats the problem, not that some guy rated a girl a 7 that you believe to be a 9.  I see girls given ratings of 8 or 9 for looks that I wouldn't take home at closing time for free.  Too many guys have their own egos caught up in their ratings.

I don't agree that all guys over review.

I prefer looks over performance, so I choose girls who are 9's and 10's, and its always well warranted when I give that rating.

Those who know me trust my ratings on looks.

A perfect example is your latest review.  I have seen her a number of times when she was in near contest shape,  and would have given her a 10.  Ive seen her when she was bulked up but still very defined, and I would have given her a 9.    This trip she must have been carrying 25lbs of extra bodyfat.  I would have only given her a 7.  I don't see how a girl with 25 extra lbs of bodyfat could only lose 1 point because of it.  

Ive never seen her in perfect contest shape, so I dont have the benefit of comparing like you do.

25 lbs off of a fitness competition is not much, and I found her to have a great, tight and muscular body, so I definitely think the rating is accurate, but as you say, subjective.

I'd be interested to know if we've seen any other of the same girls and compare the ratings..
