Hello all:

OK... here's my situation. I opened this thread because I've run into a bit of a situation with occasional hobbying and was hoping to get your opinions.

I joined RS2K in early 2006 and have only been a strictly occasional hobbyist since then, meaning once every two years or so when the urge strikes me. I've used my RS2K membership to set up three dates during 2006-07, all of which were set up smoothly and each of which was a great time.

In March of 2008, I had made and incall appointment with an agency in downtown Chicago (which is no apparently no longer operating) during which I bailed out of the appointment due to a parked, idling LE vehicle which was parked right down the street from the incall location at the time that I arrived. I was still basically a newbie and was spooked big time -- my response was a little tardy as I ended up emailing the agency several hours later to explain why I hadn't shown up, as well as to apologize profusely. I felt terrible, and the agency responded graciously. BTW, there is a thread here on the TER forums (I believe that it's in either the General or the Chicago forum) begun on 3/4/08 under my handle which covers this incident if you want to take the time to dig it up. It was  big mistake on my part as I look back on it now.

Being that I only set up dates once in a while (again, when the urge strikes), I would probably have posed my question much earlier, but here goes. In 2009 and then again just last week, I went to set up appointments with reputable providers (one whom I had already dealt with in 2007 and who is now apparently out of practice) in which I provided all information requested (name, age, phone number, description, RS2K name/city, TER handle, etc., etc. -- the whole nine yards). No response either time, even though I had provided all of the info either via email or online form.

Sorry for the longwindedness of this post, but my questions are as follows:

Based upon the facts recounted above, have I possibly been "blacklisted" sometime in the last several years? It's bothering me that on two occasions since 2009, what was a straightforward communication has become a runaround where I provide all of the information requested (and them some) only to be more or less blown off.

I've always paid and been on the up an up. I've also provided reviews on TER for all of my encounters (except one, and that was not a reflection on the provider at all... just my own oversight and/or laziness).

I realize that discretion and trustworthiness are paramount in this hobby.... I also hope that everyone realizes that beginner's mistakes (such as mine) will be made. You live and learn, and I'm not a really regular hobbyist... only occasional.

Am I being paranoid, being someone that has only done the hobby on three occasions plus one other unfortunate near-miss as mentioned? Have I been blacklisted? If so, what can I do?

Thanks again for reading... I'm looking forward to the feedback from those of you who know about things here much more than I do and can help to clue me in on what might be going on.

So I cannot speak for the specific Chicago counterparties you describe.

When was the last time you saw a provider?  If I am going by what I am reading above, it seems like the last time you saw anyone was March 2008.  Is that correct?

You said you set up appointments in 2009 and then last week (I assume there was nothing in between for three years).  Is that correct?

Your last review is Aug 2007, and you have only two reviews.

Seems to me like it's not a blacklist thing or a reputation thing.  Maybe it's the fact that you have no history at all, really.  Remember, your post seems to read that your last appointment was in 2007, and that your next two attempts were in 2009 and then July 2012.

Another thing is that the tone of your post is apprehensive.  The providers might also be picking up on that.

Just my thoughts.  Awaiting your clarification on my questions.

you may want to contact rs2000 and explain the reason for your NCNS. When you failed to show at your appointment, the provider most likely called rs2000 and had that added to your history. This info probably was given to the next provider who called to verify you and they felt the risk of scheduling with you was not worth it.

Thanks for your feedback.

The last time I saw a provider period was five years ago -- August 2007. The March 2008 was an attempted visit that didn't come off.

Other than my attempt to set up an appointment in July 2009 (with the same provider with whom I had dealt in August 2007), and the same attempt made last week, I have not been active at all.

Yes... I only have two reviews (should actually be three)... my sum total of experience since May 2006 is three incalls.

And yes... I'm apprehensive. Again, I only do this on an irregular basis but have always been on the up and up (save for the unfortunate NCNS in 2008 and belated explanatory email). I'm feeling like I screwed up somehow but don't have a sure idea of where.

I'd say for every two providers I get in touch with there is one that never responds to me at all, or for whatever reason vanishes while we're e-mailing to set up a time/date. I wonder sometimes if there's some sort of information out there in the provider-only area, but it doesn't really seem logical since I've never pulled a NCNS, never done anything weird and have been on RS2k for at least 6 years.

I think what happens is one of the below:

1. sometimes people just aren't great at returning e-mails/messages for whatever reason (really busy, flaky in general, something came up, etc.).

2. they already have something set up for that time and don't feel like responding to everyone who wanted the same time, or else they forgot to respond.

3. someone else came along and wants the same time but for a longer date, or is a regular.

4. your e-mail ends up in their spam folder somehow or the form on the website has a glitch and isn't relaying to e-mail properly

5. some other reason.

I doubt you're blacklisted and I also agree with the comments above that you could build a little more history. Maybe next time you are successful ask her to whitelist you here. P411 is also a good rS2k-like service where you can also ask for provider referrals.

I also doubt your blacklisted based on what you say.

It seems more likely you are just not connecting with that one lady it seems like you are trying to set up with again. If I understand correctly you are attempting to contact the same lady you saw several years ago without any luck. Find a new reputable lady who takes RS2K verification and you will probably be all set.

Providers don't care what you did five years ago.  That's like Al Bundy saying that he once scored four touchdowns in a single game back in high school.  :)

I'm being a smartass, so don't take that the wrong way.

As far as finding a solution here...just email them and ask them for info they need to screen.  You can figure out whether you are comfortable with that or not.  You don't need to mention that you are on TER, unless they ask.  And then if that happens, give them your handle and mention that you haven't seen a provider in a number of years.  Don't lie about being a newbie, as anyone can easily search the threads for your username/handle.

Don't start asking a bunch of explicit questions about their services.  That's what the TER reviews are for.  If you need more details, then PM the reviewers, but explain your situation.

Asking a ton of questions and then having no history for five years...well, that just comes off as LE.

And while I tried to get verified with them about a year or two ago when I was always traveling to Chicago, I just couldn't get approved.  Not sure why.

But P411 was a breeze.  And it's like Visa vs. Discover...it's taken a lot more places.  :)

You said the agency back then was gracious after you emailed after your no show, so why would they BL you or lie about their graciousness?

You said you have reviewed all but one of your encounters. You have 2 reviews so only 3 encounters to date and at the time of your previous troubles.

There are many possibilities as to why it seemed from your side that you were "blown off". Both of the ladies in your reviews are out of the picture now or under the radar. Given that and that it's only 2 does not give you much of a history for others to review and appreciate.

An UTR lady that you've only seen once and then you contacted a couple of years later was slow or hesitant to get back together. That's not surprising at all. It could happen to anyone.

The other "blow off" could have been a simple timing issue. Unfortunately there are some ladies that for various reasons simply do not return email if your request is not doable (e.g. time is too short, they are already booked, have vacation scheduled, etc.) Being too busy and overloaded with email is the most common "honest" excuse I hear. In any case it's not a sound business practice. In some cases communication does indeed get lost or overlooked (spam folder, accidental deletion, etc.) If time permits, I always resend my appointment request that goes unanswered after a couple of days.

In any case you need to be more patient. Check with RS2K to insure your profile is up to date and still accurate. Some information, if it has changed, may need to be updated. Consider joining Preferred-411. They are a good resource as well and having both on your resume will only help.

For your next adventure, pick a well respected lady or agency and don't get into all this history with her. Just be polite and recognize that from her viewpoint you are still very new to this.

Al told me that you and Bud had a thing going...

And Peg offered up Kelly for my prurient interests.

And she was very very tight and tiny...I like them that way :D

Thanks again for your responses sir.... I think this is what I needed to hear. Apparently there's a lot about the hobby that I still need to learn and I really appreciate your advice.

Thanks for your reply... I guess my problem is that my first three appointments back in 2006-07 were so easy to set up with prompt responses, etc..... maybe I just developed some unrealistic expectations as a result that carried over to today.
I appreciate your advice and will keep it in mind.
