Hi TER.
I'm a former provider looking to get back in the swing of things. I have only been seeing a few people since retiring. I want to come back full force. Since I am relatively new I only have a few reviews from 09', all 9's and 10's, but I dont know how to get started again.

Should I start with a new name and new pics or keep my same name and old pics or get new pics? Will it be an issue if I use fake pics? I still look the same, no weight gain or major hair changes. Please guys give me some advice. I greatly need it and appreciate it. Thanks, TER.

Sincerely,
Angelina

I've wondered the same thing from the other side of the aisle(bed). I lost my long-time job end of 08, but now I'd like to get back into the hobby. I guess my first step would be to get VIP back, yours? Maybe get a new website?

I'd definitely think a new email address might be a good start. Fake pics always seem to be a big no-no, but I understand your hesitation to be your former self.

Interesting question for sure.

Maybe consider only sending pic after a RS2K verification. I think, and hope I know who this is, if I am correct, glad you are back!

But maybe I am naive? Continue with name, provider profile, reviews from 2009, ask some of your ongoing friends to please post more current reviews, post an ad or 2 in the right places (P411, RS2K, maybe escorts) and that should suffice. I would use real current pictures, as being reviewed with the dreaded "does not look like the pictures" comment is a serious black mark.

Then post a couple of announcements here, maybe with a "Hi, guys I am back," special, and off you go.

That seems like a winning strategy, unless there is something in your history and departure that you would rather leave behind, in which case you probably want to do all the same things, except create a new name and profile which you use to get your friends to post their reviews and then place the ads for the new you.

Of course someone will eventually make the connection between the new and old you, but memories are short and if you are real and good, the past will make little difference - might even titillate a little, which can't be bad. A year, is after all, two or three Internet lifetimes.

I"m no expert on this subject, but, I would say given what you have to lose, new pictures and new name.  If you can get the staff here to move your info over to a new name and TER ID #, you could keep your history, if not, start over.

Reviews from '09 is fine. It's better to have some reviews than none at all. As for pics, they aren't really 'fake' if they're your pics... they're just old. Still, no one likes old pictures. So, keep the old reviews, the old name, and update your pics.

Assuming that you are keeping the same name, you could use one of your "old" pictures in your ad along with one or more new ones. That should help previous clients and potential clients who saw your ads in the past to recognize that you are still the same provider.

I would also recommend "watermarking" any new photos to help prevent them being stolen by the "bait & switch" crowd.

Angelina, Why would you even think of using fake pic's? If your reviews were all 9's & 10's, Fake pics should not even be something that you should consider. Use the same name that you were using before
and new pic's. There are enough people using fake and old pic's out there. Anyone who had 9's & 10's
should stay on the up and up.

We have never meet, an oversight on my part, I'm sure.  Welcome back to the 'swing of things' sort of speak!  I would suggest using both new and dated (need not use 'old') pictures.  If you change names, I would further suggest noting that on your new website.  A great way to re-introduce yourself would be to attend a M&G (email Tabby) and get your name out that way again.  Of course, rs2k, Cathy is great!!

I would stay away from the face pics as others have suggested, brings about bad press.  Feel free to pm me about the M&G if you're unfamiliar with them or have other questions.  I'm not the end-all-be-all of this but just want to help!

Never ever use fake pics! Also keep the same name and just update your photos....then people can still read your former great reviews..It does not take too long to get back into the swing of things....I have taken the last 3 summers off and people get excited when you return. Especially when you have regulars..sometimes it take one brand new great review and you are right back in the game!  Good luck! I know a wonderful photographer if you need one.      Amelia Taylor
