Sometimes when I call a provider, she hangs up, or she won't set up an appointment, or give directions.

I usually start with a "Hi, "her name", I'm in "this town" and I am about "10-30 minutes away", do you have time if I come over?"

Sometimes it works, but sometimes it doesn't. What gives? Any suggestions?

That is cool if you have visited her before.  However screening is very important if you haven't met her before, comments like that make you should as if you will try to bypass screening which is why ladies might not take you seriously.  It sounds as if you are on a time crunch mentioning time frames and how far you are from a provider.  It would make me nervous.

Try something like.  "Hi, "her name", I would love to try to set up a visit with you.  How can I meet your screening criteria so we have a great date?"

If you have never met her before also make sure you provide plenty of notice or even get preverified ahead so the screening part is already taken care of if you tend to book last min.  Be honest, we can tell if you are lying because we have heard it all before.

Good luck, Sage

There is a certain protocal expected amoung legit ladies. It begins with giving them time to check references. Do you think these babes are sitting around in their babydolls waiting for...hoping for..longing for your call? [ well...in my case they probably are...but we are talking about YOU..LOL].  I find the best way to begin the process is by an email that includes info about me and a few references. I indicate I will follow up with a call and allow them plenty of time to feel comfortable as to who I am.   Actually I would never even consider seeing a lady if I called her out of the blue on the basis of a BP..EROS..CL ad and she said " sure ..come on over...I'm waiting for you". As indeed she probably will be waiting...with her LE pals or with the intentions of ripping you off. I know of no legit , well reviewd Provider who will take a last minute appt from a stranger. Hope this helps .

If someone called me and said they were in my "area" and will I be around in 10 - 30 minutes I would be terrified. Most of us have had at least 1 client do something very scary or entitled that makes us a bit more cautious than we used to be.

By all accounts if someone were to say those things to me, not only would I hang up but I'd block their # because I would assume it to be either LE, predator or time waster type (more of the latter than the former).

If a client is prone to last minute appointments typically if interested they contact when they aren't attempting to set up appointments and get the verification over with.

I'm just echoing what everyone else has already said because both Sage & STP have gave two completely constructive points of view. My only added point is that, yes they are both right.

I totally agree with Sage & STP and Ms Natalie as well, as all 3 of them are right..Most of my dates know when I available and not available.... and becoz I got family staying with me now, I can't just say come on over.. thats not going to happen.

a few of those providers are definitely legit and do allow appointments with very little notice and almost no screening. Still, it looks like most of your sessions weren't very good and if that's how you're approaching providers, I can see why. You've already seen most of the legit "last-minute" girls around here.

I would say first of all just make sure you read her website and all the info on it.  Like especially if its a section with questions and answers.  I would think some girls hang up on you because they would rather be contacted by email maybe.  Thats how I prefer to be 1st contacted but I wouldnt hang up on you.  I would just ask you to read my website and email me.

But I think thats a good start is just make sure you are familiar with the girl and then ask if its ok that you decided to call and if you could chat.

Hope you had a great weekend.

What I say (when I call, I usually do email) is closer to:

"Hi, [her name]?" (wait for her to say yes. Maybe I got a wrong number, she doesn't like my tone of voice, can't talk, or for a variety of unknown reasons I might get a no and then I'd move on or redial the correct number.)

"My name is [my first name], and I was hoping to set up a time to see you." (I also use the term "I would like to set up an appointment.")

At that point, maybe you'll be asked when you'd prefer. Maybe you'll be asked to be screened first. You just have to feel it out, I guess. Don't be too pushy. If she doesn't prompt for it, I will eventually say "What information do you need from me?" so the lady knows I'm prepared to be screened.

I recently managed to set up an appointment within a few hours with a traveler, but I was working through the provider's assistant and my screening went smoothly. This is rare. I was prepared for it to not work that fast and was the one to offer the following evening if it didn't work out.

Be open, not pushy. You have to make sure the lady feels comfortable with you during the phone call.
