Cubs are in town tonight so I've decided to close the board and to take the night off to watch them beat up the Astros again. Great seats at a fantastic price and a domed air conditioned stadium that serves 24 ounce beers. Yea baby!!!

No posting, no replies, and no ads. No train wrecks, no making fun of the mod. Just gather together and sing a vivacious "Kumbya My Lord".

Sox fans can still log on, you guys have enough problems to deal with already. I don't want to pile on!!!!

Well said my Irish Beauty but I have a question...if you care about the Cub fans on this board, why would you shut it down during a Cub game? Don't you want your fellow unfortunates to have some fun cause God knows watching the Cubs is painful!!! Go, go Sox:):)

The talent is there in the bullpen and it just has to be put in the right positions.

Shit, we've blown 6 of 7 save opportunities and still have a better record than your worthless team!

And Peavy will be back.  But he is probably no better than our number three starter at this time.

Maybe without the Secret Service crawling all over the place we can actually have fun tonight. President Bush was sitting about 150 feet to the side of me and was covered by the Secret Service in all directions. No beer vendors in our section, had to walk to the vending area for each beer.

Of course that has nothing to do with their lousy performance but as a true Cubs fan I will go again tonight to cheer them on to victory.
