Since I will be visiting soon have been stopping bye mostly lurking and I must say the vibe here is amazing everone truly seems to get along ...I have been working hard in AZ to bring our boards back to life and it is working sometimes I get an idea from here I love Sin1 posts and she seems to be a major backbone of keeping it light and friendly ....I stole your caption idea from her and you guys were much more clever maybe with time we can get up to speed you give me hope for our little board I cannot wait wait to get to the windy city the shopping alone is just crazy good! And a steak downtown at Gibsons is a must see and do!

I agree with much of this... the Chicago board is just a bunch of mid-western hospitality. You have to like that. And I also agree with the come to the suburbs sometime.

But the reason the Chicago board is so much fun is because of everyone on it. I cannot take credit for being a driving force as I am just one of many who contribute to make it the cyber place it is. Hell I often disappear for weeks and it still keeps going.
Its the culmination of some great hobbyists and providers that make Chicago my kind of town.
Your way too modest and that in it self speaks volumes about your spirit and kindness and the fact your willing to share of yourself ....I KNOW how much effort go's into kick starteing a board that has gone dormant ....In PHX our board was so slow it was like watching paint dry....I was gone from TER since 2007 and when I returned it was dead.... so with much effort I was able to bring everyone back on "board" and am happy to say we are alive and kicking ass over there and having drama free fun "so far" LOL... but there is just something special here. a true warmness towards each other and I must say you guys have a much better sense of humor we still need to lighten up and could learn a lot from our friends in the great "Windy City" thanks for being a good role model for us
