I think he is probally hoping to bring a girl that will enjoy the game (I mean he would be paying her, but he probally is hoping for the enthusiasm a fan would have). Then after the game would be whatever they want after that. I know that the providers can pretend to like the Cubs, but he probally wants the girl to really enjoy the game part of the "date"
