Do any of the hobbyists or providers out there have experience with purchasing Viagra or such products online? Reliable? Trustworthy products rather than fakes? Any guidance would be appreciated. Any hobbyists be willing to admit an age when they may have experienced ED?  In your 40's or 50's?

The answer is yes. Do an internet search. I have always received the name brand Phizer product.

Or better yet you can get the real meds online which may not be a good match for your physical condition and die!  BTW they will cost 3x as much online.  Your health insurance will actually pay for them if you need them and they are not dangerous to you.  Most internet pharmacies sell the 100mg version of Viagra.  The usual therapeutic dose is 25-50mg.  Most sites wont tell you that either it cuts into there profit.  Don't be stupid, no hard on is worth dying over.  There are meds that will probably work better for you then Viagra anyway with less side effects(the inability to ejaculate comes to mind).  I'm sure your online sites will let you know about these potential problems.
