Thanks for the clarification on Cloudflare and the status of RS-AVS.

I received a message from friends that said that EROS has been lying about where their servers are located at and they will be seized by the government within the next few days.  Homeland Security raided their call center in NC in November 2017.  It won't let me post the attachment letter here but I do have it. I'm posting this so other providers don't waste their money on renewal or if you renew, just add a day by day situation such as "Extend for one day".  Just see what happens within the next week.

If that's true it's very stupid and short-sighted of them.

I noticed eccie is now gone too. It wasn't big here, but was used a lot in the western states.

RS-AVS is there but for how long?

GBN and USA Adult Classifieds are still around. I don't know where GBN is hosted but USAAC is in Argentina so unlikely to be going away.

Well, the Raid of EROS by Homeland Security in Nov 2017 really did happen in NC as that was reported in National news. I hope the letter I have is wrong because I advertise on there but my AD expires in three days so I am going to see what happens. The EROSADS website does allow you to extend day by day.  If they left there call centers open in the U.S., that would be rather stupid of them after that raid.

is legitimate news. However, the other .. I don't know. I am just going off of what *I* heard, but at this point, none of us knows the real story about any of this. That is part of the problem.

As for RS-AVS, I had a number of emails back and forth with them today and they have taken very smart and calculated (and calm) measures in an effort to circumvent all of this and avoid being shut down.

At the end of the day, who knows how *that* will go. But for now, it is still up and they are working relentlessly to try and *keep* it up.

Love to you all ...

I agree regarding RS-AVS in that Cathy has made many changes and continues to make changes to limit the risk of a shutdown there.  She was very eloquent (in an email sent to me) in her response of my questions and concerns. So far she has been doing also a great job in promoting providers (that advertise on RS-AVS) on Twitter on a consistent daily basis. I still don't know if I will do anything more than paying week by week advertising (rather than month or longer) on any of these advertising sites until we know more and are sure that they won't be taken down. I can't stand to lose advertising money as advertising websites get taken down (yes, I'm still smarting from just renewing monthly advertising with CityVibe (they went down two days later) and adding some money to BP account last week. Yes, that wasn't smart of me regarding BP).

I saw a screenshot of an email that Eros will be shut down on Twitter from a lady. But it just feels like a scare tactic by an anonymous character. I don't think it will be shut down in the near term.

Eros is still up and running.  I still advertise on there.  Homeland security raided their call center for tax evasion.  It had nothing to do with "our world".  The IRS doesn't care how you make your money as long as they get their piece of pie.

They are on Swiss servers. I am 99% certain of that.
I am fairly certain that their call centers are shut down in the United States. It takes a long time to get an advert up, that's for sure.

I know that I get charged by visa and international fee whenever I advertise, and have for the last year or so, perhaps longer, so we know that their payment system is for sure overseas.

Eros makes a shit ton off of us. Bastards. They would never be so stupid as to keep everything in the states.

After the last couple of weeks and the changes that have been made at EROS, I am hoping they are secure and staying online as I get a lot more referrals off of EROS than anywhere else. In second place would be Twitter.

I'm still concerned about RS-AVS, since I'm a lifetime member.  I was checking their domain and it's registered through godaddy which is US based, so that's not good.  They're hosted on Cloudflare in Canada, but I believe Cloudflare is also under the jurisdiction of the US as well.

Hi there, about 10 days ago I received an emailed message from Cathy that RS-AVS moved to the Netherlands hosting.  That move, plus they moved to Protonmail email would help them but as they are still a .com (moving to an .eu or .ch or .Amsterdam would further protect them)  and should they have any call centers in the U.S., there still could be an issue as to jurisdiction being under U.S. law.

If you notice all of the advertisement words on RS-AVS have been removed as the advertisements are simply escort's pictures along with contact information including email, Twitter and website urls. I hope the changes keeps RS-AVS up and running but unfortunately, nothing is a guarantee. I have been moving to more short term advertising versus the three months advertising I was doing before for both RS-AVS and EROS.

I agree on Cloudfare, I think they were responsible for my website (escorts.biz, cutie_tools) being down a lot a week ago. Every day I wake up with my website still up and running is a good day.  It's a shame that all of the First Amendment communication freedoms we deserve to have are under fire.

Cloudflare is NOT a hosting company.

It's a lot of things. It's a content delivery network, it's protection against DDOS attacks, as well as offering many other things beneficial to websites. It's a service that is used separately and in tandem with actual hosting. If someone uses them, they utilize their nameservers, so doing a check on who is hosting a website would actually give you a "false" answer because it would usually tell you what nameservers were returned and where they may be located. It would appear that Cloudflare is hosting the site, they are not. Sometimes the nameservers are in Arizona, sometimes, its Canada, all depends on what nameservers were assigned when the website signed up for their services.

When you request a page from RS-AVS it passes through the Cloudflare nameservers/network/CDN and eventually shows you the actual page you requested, wherever it may be hosted.

And RS-AVS "is" currently hosted in Amsterdam.

Slixa uses Cloudflare for similar protection and services.

TER and EROS use a similar service from a company called Incapsula.

And...
RS-AVS "is" moving to a .ch domain over the weekend as well.

Be Safe!

Thanks for the clarification on Cloudflare and the status of RS-AVS.

Funny Eros is smart, or owned by the Feds. Who will file a civil suit to get there $ back when there ads aren’t posted?

Yes they took there call center computers a few months ago. All data for users where on them. So what’s to prevent the Feds from taking control, taking the money, forcing everyone to give IDs and credit cards and laugh.
While socially no LE will have sex to directly prove prostitution now, they captured BP why not Eros.
Anyoneone posting ads there are at risk

extremely worrying ... looks like the feds got a lot of information from eros... several of my friends cannot enter the US anymore after they have been advertising on eros!

What a lonely place. Just thought I'd come back and say hello! Echo, echo, echo.
