let me preface my post by saying yes, i'm all for what a woman can get per hour?? i just want to know why hobbiests are willing to pay 4x + to see a pornstar when you can see a few regular, well reviewed providers @ a fraction of the cost???? is it because they're in adult films???? what is the fascination????? just askin' ;o)

this is a topic that has appeared on the PS board many times. The reason a guy will drop that much $ on a PS is for the fantasy of being with a woman that they have watched on film. here is my personal favorite conquest..now tell me that's not worth the price of admission...

If you're wealthy, why not? I saw a porn starlet once, while she was hot and frisky, she wasn't above average in performance or price. I'd never heard of her at the time but once I googled her, movies started popping up. I might have even reviewed her. I've had much better experiences with my circle of friends.

For the money, I'd rather do porn starlets cause I think you get more bang for the buck before they get famous. Think I'll just stick with the non-porno girls, there's nothing all that interesting in the porn world for me.

I like seeing the woman's face before I set up an appointment with them so it's natural to want to see a pornstar I adore as well.  There have been a decent amount of ladies in town recently whose rates have been reasonable - Diamond Foxxx and Adriana Deville both charged $500 while there were here.  A post on the PS board had an extensive list of pornstars in the "300 club."  

Personally, I would be ecstatic to meet someone like Riley Mason, even with mixed reviews, and her rates are $250!

I'm not sure i agree with that argument. I have seen two porn stars and neither lived up to the hype. In fact one of them ranks as one of the worst sessions i've ever had. So to automatically assume that it's going to be a gold medal performance is not exactly true in my opinion.

While I agree that “bragging rights” are part of the equation for some guys my own motivation was more of fantasy fulfillment.  I saw two porn stars back in the late 1990’s – Blake Mitchell and Tami Monroe.  

Blake had kind of a Raquel Welch type look about her so with her I was taking care of two fantasies for the price of one. Tami was the ultimate spinner due to her petite stature.

While I enjoyed both encounters I don’t think I would have gone through with them at the current porn star rates of $1K and up per hour.  I saw Blake in Phoenix for under $500 and Tami was an incall in LA for $500-$600.  Although my session with Tami was truly a PSE one as she was into everything I could suggest, it still didn’t rise to the level of sessions I had around the same time with the well known “Christine from Orlando”.  Some of you long time hobbyists may remember her as she was something very special.   Anyway, the conclusion I came to is similar to that of Polish Pirate in that I have since stayed with the non-pornstar providers.  

However, despite everything I stated above, if Jenna Haze ever made herself available to her fans I would run to see her regardless of the cost  Some fantasies have a very long shelf life.

Sure try them now and then, but catch them before they get semi-famous or you'll overpay in my opinion. On the whole, most career providers can do just as much (and will do just as much) if you get to know them. You are going to bust the same nut for a three figure session or a four figure session, right? Now, if you are printing your own money, hell, find all of PS sessions you want. Oh, don't pay for PS-lite.  Ladies that advertise PSE are doing so to up their fees. Go for a real pro if you going to go through that trouble.
