I am going to be touring there in a few weeks.  Please provide me with advice and recommendations of must do's, must see's, and stay away from's in the Chicago and suburb area.  Please email me I can not access PM's right now.

On the contrary melody....I'm sure we have our fair share of gents who cancel, but There are the ladies who also cancel or nsnc.
I have heard this from time to time about the cancellations, but that would be privy to the ladies...
On the whole, this is good hobby community. great ladies from my perspective.
As for deposits....I had an ATF, that I bought AL ticket, dropped nice deposit,got the hotel, dinner, tips to concierge, etc....
she missed her flight, cancelled twice, and flew home w/o any word before our rescheduled appt.  then the drama.....wtf....
we finally came to terms and she did apologize.....and returned most of the money.

business as you have 'no idea' how many cancellations she gets.

I always do well in the Chicago area, I get very little cancellations and when I do, it's normally a legit reason.  You will get the NCNS in any city however, I have toured a lot of cities and I find Chicago to be one of the best.  I can only speak from my personal experiences, I'm in no way trying to say anyone else is being dishonest with you.

you're missing all the guys in the burbs who refuse to go downtown. I'd see you on CTP's recommendation but there's no way in hell I'm going down there. Too bad...

This is the main reason I stopped touring, to be honest. Now, when I get that "When will you be in my city" PM, I simply say, "When you pay me to be there." I am planning a visit to Chi Town at the end of the year, but it's a vacation that I fully intend to finance whilst meeting old friends. I would never go to a city I did not want to actually explore, and try to make money.

My comment wasn't about her business, my comment was towards Melody claiming that most men in Chicago never follow through with an appointment.  I am not one of them, nor are a lot of other guys on TER, so don't lump all of us Chicago gents together as time wasters, game players and bums.  That was the general point I was making.

.... cancelling or ncns was not an issue, definitely sucks to hear that's how it was for you though (my first & ONLY trip to Minneapolis was that way though).  
BUT catching more than a guys double-booking in the beginning was an issue but my trip was still great overall.
