I don’t think you’re missing anything.  Seems like most of the providers  list a super low hourly rate way for escort services, and  are just trying to get you to subscribe to their OF to screen.  Im sure appointments never happen.

As a single mother it helps supplement my income. I don’t know about others, but it allows people to see all of me un-blurred no edits. VIP OF has XXX content I post almost everyday. I have a free onlyfans too, but it does not create as much revenue as my VIP. I use it as a way to make money from home, or remotely.  
I would never use OF as a reference. OF has strict rules. Your account can get terminated. No meet ups. I do not collaborate & the majority do. Statics show OF is hugely popular in Gen X.

Many of them I do not believe are actually providers. They are just using various provider sites to try and drum up subscriptions. And if they are providers, then they are pulling a really crappy tactic of forcing you to pay for a subscription just to contact them. Oh, there are some providers who are also on OnlyFans, and I applaud them for it, but the ones that I know of do not require you to contact them through OnlyFans.
