Doesn't the gentleman pay for the room in the Windy City?  I don't have a car--and he sure can't come to my friend's apartment where I am staying--so I suggested he pop for a room somewhere.  This fellow acted as if it were just out of the realm of possibility that he actually stoop to paying for a hotel room...going on and on about he hadn't done that in years and blah, blah, blah.
What's the deal, Chicago?
Out east in NYC this is nothing odd to have the gent pay for the room and the hour.  Are NYC men more gentlemanly?
Or did I just hear from a cheap-o?

It is custom in Chicago that the room is paid for by the provider.  I guess we figure that they can afford it, since the ladies are seeing several clients a day at $300-$400 dollars an hour. When you can bring in that kind of money everyday, it's not unreasonable to assume that the room is part of the package.  I'm not sure why that would make us less "gentlemanly" then your east coast clients.

Out of those who want incall, would you say in Chicago that 50% would pay for the hotel and 50% won't???
Wish you could have heard the guy who called me...whew...you would think I tried to maul his Grandma the way he went off about it.  I guess he belonged in the cheap-o group.
Our thinking is that if a gentleman has the means it should be a rather small deal to get the room.  Or are we wrong on this?
This, by the way, is not that big a deal with our NYC clientele.  But, we understand, each area has different mores.
We are having a little trouble believing that this is the way it is always done in Chicago, and that it should be more like NYC with half paying for the room and half not willing for whatever reason.

It is not "custom".  I have no idea why lots of guys "assume" we see several clients a day at $300-400 each.  If you think this hobby is that wealthy, then you would not see so many ladies posting so often and offering specials.  There is nothing wrong with guys paying $50 for a room and still paying for the hour in an outcall situation.  Most guys are just cheap or don't want records floating around on their credit card bills or bank accounts, so they opt for incalls.

Lots of guys request outcalls, but when it comes to incalls, they just expect the provider to pay for the room because its her choice of location and not his.  But if its his choice of location, it is more gentlemanly for him to cover the room since she is driving out of her way to accompany him.

we, again, were in NYC area.  Yes, some did grouse about it and they went elsewhere sometimes, but we still had lots of business.
What we are getting here in Chicago are guys calling asking for
half hour visits at $200 and the lady to have an incall place already...which is not our style to begin with.
Do you know how hard that is mentally on someone (as if they really care)?
Are the guys in Chicago just tight?  They can't all be that way...naaaah!

I obviously don't know what transpired between you and your potential appointment.  I had assumed that an incall was offered.  If that was the case, then I would think that you (or any provider) would have a place available. However, if the client was looking for outcall, he should expect to come up with the location himself.  Maybe next time, I'll read posts later in the day when I'm not so tired.  Have fun on your trip here.

For an Incall I would call the room a Cost of doing pleasure, for an Outcall it should be on the client I agree.  We aren't cheap but if I am already laying out $300+ I want that to be a flat rate.  If you want the room paid for then add it into the rate.  I hate getting "Nickle and Dimed" to death.  It's like one of those rip off Spa places here in Chicago.  If you want this it will cost that.

For me personally, I wouldn't mind paying for the room. My problem (and I'm sure others) is that I cant have it on my credit card bill and hotels dont like to take cash without ID and a credit card to secure any charges to the room. Maybe if you offered to "get" the room and he compensates you with cash for it. Then maybe that would solve the problem. If he wants no part of it, then he's a cheapo. Please dont get a bad impression of Chicago guys because of him.

The client should always pay for the hotel and pretend like it is a business trip. This business of making the provider pay for the hotel is a no-no. If a providers gets alot of visitors going to her incall location, hotel management takes notice. Certain patterns with providers offering incall go noticed and LE could get notified.

Not sure of what risk you are talking about except maybe fraud with your CC number. I was referring to wives/girlfriends possibly seeing the bill or a nosey boss.

Here the Sybaris is kinda a prety penny. I bet I can get a nice man to do this any regulars don't be shy speak up tell the guys I'm worth it. I do mostly incalls but I have had guys pay for rooms with no complaints I just get it and they pay me for it.

Oh...I guess providers don't worry about husbands/boyfriends possibly seeing their credit card bills too huh?  And as far as a nosey boss...why would ANYONE use a company credit card for a hotel?  If you do something that stupid, then you are asking for trouble.
