Have you ever had a provider try to dictate to you what the performance and appearance scores should be [along with the review text], before the review has been written? Has a provider ever told you to not submit a review if the score is not a 9/9 or higher? Were any veiled threats issued if you did not comply?
Keep in mind that I'm not talking about after a review is written. This is all before any review is written.
I've never even had a provider ask if I typically write reviews. I never bring it up to them, so why would they bring it up to me?? Do guys usually tell the provider that they are going to write a review?? I wonder if that ever happens to food critics??!!
Have had a provider that was upset that although I had given her a pretty good review, I was dissing her by saying her CBJ was average and she needed to work on it. It was avreage and she needed to work on it. Have not had any threats though. Did have the provider call me to come by and show her how to improve her CBJ and that was kinda fun.
who talked a lot about the review that I would be writing. She didn't really try to dictate, but certainly dropped a lot of hints about what she thought should or shouldn't be included. I wrote the review as I saw fit, and that's when she went ballistic. Needless to say, we haven't seen each other a second time, and never will.
However, I have had several providers indicate that a review would be greatly appreciated and they hoped it would be favorable. Mostly presented as a request rather than a demand and/or there will be consequences if I don't give a good review. So far, I have not experienced an inordinate amount of pressure like you seem to describe.
Given the economy, etc., it would not surprise me if providers were being more aggressive in this regard. However, the best approach is to let their performance speak for itself (and get a review from ChiTownPimp - LOL).

As a side note, I also find more and more providers asking for my TER handle. I really don't like giving that to a provider prior to having seen them and written a review. I feel like that them knowing my TER handle really constrains me if I feel like I need to give a poor review. I realize that writing the review will probably give them a pretty good idea of which client I was. However, when I need to write a poor review I try to keep it generic enough (although accurate) to allow for "plausible deniability" so that they can't associate my identity with my TER handle. Probably a little paranoid on my part. However, just because you are paranoid, that doesn't mean people are not out to get you. LOL.
To start with, I rarely see a lady unless I'm pretty sure she is in the 8+ range...I rely on the review board to guide me. I've never had a threat, but ladies have indicated to me that they hope they warrant a high score. Of course I consider anything 8 or above to be high...but you are correct, there are those who want the 9's. What is the most common for me is for a lady to ask me NOT to include something that might have occured during our little rendezvous. Some are selective when it comes to cetain menu items . Me being so damn charming and all I will occasionally end up having a bite to eat or a few drinks somewhere with a provider after our little romp. Most do not want that included in the review as they do not want others to assume some social time is part of the package. I'll honor a ladies request as long as it does not interfer with the integrty of the review. When I take the time to submit a review it is for the hobbyist...not the babe.
Suggestions began even before we met. Once the session started she brought up my being on TER and asked what kind of review did I think I'd give her, which set off alarms. I said that depended on how things went. Instead of taking this calmly, provider became more verbally aggressive about getting a positive review. From that point on the whole session disintegrated until I left.
After that I was subjected to much badgering via text and email and called all sorts of ugly names.
To sum up, suggestions began before session, then dictation and pressure began as session was getting underway, the escalated after session was terminated by me.
Nope. Never. I saw Milena on a second visit before my review of my first visit posted. I told her i had posted a review but it wasn't up yet. The sweetheart that she is, she joked and said I probably gave her a 1/2. Other than that the word review has never been mentioned with any provider.
that i'm on TER. I've had gal's ask me what my 'handle' is and i tell them that i'm just a 'looker' and that i've never posted a review. only two people know my handle, one is a fellow hobbiest, the other is a person who runs a local agency here in chicago. i do this for the exact reason Cuddles above listed; i'm not in the mood to get harrassed like he did.
Had a provider that was concerned about her overall ratings. If someone were to search by overall score she was in the #1 spot and wanted to keep it that way.
She asked that if were to do a review that was positive but had 8's or lower anywhere, that I not do it.
No harm, no foul IMO. She didn't pressure me to write a review.
and wanted me to send the review to her for "editing and approval" before I submitted it. It dosen't look like I'll get a white listing from her or credit for a review either. A couple of others had similar requests but I ignored them and they seemed pleased with what I wrote. I admitt to giving a slightly higher appearance ranking as the result of provider urging on another occasion also. The politics of the hobby is often in play especially with newbies whether provider or client.
I recall one agency girl very clearly telling me that if I write a review, she wants 8's or higher. There was no threat made, just more of a "if you want to see me again, you won't screw me on the review" attitude. Guess what? I didn't want to see her again. Guess what else? I never wrote a review for her. And you know what else? She doesn't work for the agency anymore and I haven't seen her around since.
Yes, I had a provider tell me she did not want me to post a review unless I was willing to give scores that she stated. And this was after she spent most of the appointment talking about other guys she had seen. My reviews are honest, and fair. So was the one I posted for her. It seems that some of the ladies don't undrstand that the reviews are for the clients.

... and managed to out me in the process. It all worked out though... she's long forgotten, and I "rebranded" my stoner college nickname into the trike-ridin' looney toon you know me as now.
As others have said, since CTP is so high-profile he's more likely to be subject to these pressures than others. But for me the answer to all questions is "no."
And even though I've written a couple of negative / mediocre reviews, I've never had a provider contact me afterwards. There is one provider I've been with who states in her ads and on her website that she does not want any reviews written, but otherwise I don't believe I've ever discussed reviews with a provider.
