I got to thinking about the ramifications of publicly outing a well-reviewed lady who stands you up on a confirmed appointment. In my hobbying experience through TER, there’ve been only two or three ladies with whom that has happened. In each case they did respond with a good reason but not right away.

So had I hastily slammed them, things might have gotten embarrassing. Not to mention, two of these gals are AWESOME and are on my short list of favorites. The third promised to make it up to me at a later session. If she doesn’t, so what?

I ask you, had I posted a capricious, vindictive message would those two darlings still be so friendly?

Would you hobbyists who ‘want to know’ find me another girl as hot and pretty … I don’t think so!

"I ask you, had I posted a capricious, vindictive message would those two darlings still be so friendly?"

The other gent simply stated his provider was a no show who didn't call ahead and he still hadn't heard from her as to why.  he was asking if he should post her name so that all would know she didnt show.... I never once got the impression that he planned to chastise her in the manner you have described.

We've all voiced our opinion in the matter... it's his decision to make.  Let's drop the discussion and find out what he chooses to do... my guess is nothing.

No one said anything about "hastily slamm(ing)" a provider or posting a "capricious, vindictive message".  As far as someone finding you another girl, you've posted 41 reviews, you're doing just fine on your own.

Ok, try wording a gentle note that says you've been stood up and se how it's taken.

and the two to whom I refer are worth their weight in gold.

I repeat, from my experience handling the whole deal in private worked out very well for me without embarrassing either party.

There have been seemingly innocuous posts on which the responses went far afield.

Well it helps for people like me that travel because I don't have the opportunity to make up the appointment later.  I would then not take the risk if I knew that they had done this before.

I was stood up by a well known provider last night.  I didn't mind that she could not make it, but I am pissed that she never called to tell me.  I could have made other arrangements if she had called me.

on one of the ladies, you'd have had to search at least two years of history for her name.

How do you know she if a lady with no posted stand-ups won't make you the first? Even had she called you at the 11th hour to say she had a 105 temperature, would that have satisfied your lust? I doubt it.

If it were me traveling, I would line up a respected agency so you'd have a backup plan.

Frankly, there is no sure thing.

I did have a couple of agency's as backup, but we scheduled a 9pm appointment and I waited until 10pm to really give up.  When I tried calling, it was too late to see who I wanted.  Had she called at 8 or so, I think that I would have had better luck.

This was not the first time I have been stood up and I know that it will not be the last.  That's the risk with this hobby.  I do know that I would stay away from someone who had an unexcused no show before and the only way to know that is by reading the boards and reviews.

I personally am giving this provider a couple of days to explain the no show before I out her in public.

After almost a week the provider who stood me up finally responded to my second email and second voice mail. She claims that she thought we we meeting on wed, not thur. She thought I stood her up. Who the heck knows. She did'nt offer to meet again to try to make up for things. She is actively posting her availabilty on another board. I do no know what to believe, so I am just moving on. My advice to all, is to make sure that the provider confirms the appointment by email so there is no mistake.

Mistakes do happen, who knows which one of you is right.  I do think that waiting a week to respond was a little too long, unless she had a good reason (did she?).  Good luck on your next appointment.
