Does a provider or ageny's attitude and postings come into play when you're deciding who to see or is it all just appearance & performance?

Are you more likely to see an indy or use an agency that has a great personality on the board?

Are you less likely to see an indy or use an agency that comes across being an ass or having GPS?

Does either filter into your decision making process?

Of course this question is only applicable for providers and agencies that post in the discussion area.

here are a few thoughts from feedback I have gotten.

I have been told that they do take into account board presence, and how you come off in the presence.  Alot of gents use that to determine if they are in fact going to get along and or deal with you due to how you act and or react to things on the board.  If you are open and friendly they perceive you as open and friendly, more likely to be GFE if that is what they are looking for.  Of course most have said they see me as open, friendly, and helpful and that helped them make the choice to visit.

absolutely come into play. I will not see a lady or use an agency if they behave like an ass here, post unsubstantiated negative posts or indulge in name calling. And there are a few on here that do that. Negative posts with valid points are fine.

...I've been on the boards over the years but don't over do the 'commercialization' of myself (ie. too many pics on the discussion boards etc).
I get on the boards if it's really something I'm passionate about - or something I feel is fun to respond to. I also like to post when I feel the need to vent in good ways of course!  I love reading the boards though - keeps me in the loop and well, truly entertains me I would recommend members to start up some great discussions to feel a part of our forums. It makes us all think, delegate, participate and well, just have a good, scintillating time. Negativity is one of the worst culprits in discussion boards but always gives us a dichotomy of our emotions and with that, keeps the boards going!  We have our own 'forum reality shows' with many personalities and many awesome peeps! Ladies or agencies that are involved in perpetual drama are off my list right away.  I don't need that shit to carry over to me.

Sojourner7 makes an excellent point about meeting someone face to face versus their board presence.  For example, a lady may act very friendly on the board.  But, you meet them in person and they act like their shit don't stink and are very narcissistic.  They think they are the center of the universe.  These ladies know how to work the boards to their advantage.  Don't be fooled and use your instincts.

The board postings play a factor in the decision making process.  But, their reviews and the intel received behind the scenes are the more important factors into booking an indy/agency for me.

Without a doubt it plays a part in deciding who to see. But I am sure that the sword cuts both ways, and that providers can also get a good feel for the hobbyists. Since I have attended meet and greets though, I have found that board presence can be deceiving. I have been pleasantly surprised by how personable some people are when you meet face to face as opposed to their board presence. So I guess I take it into consideration, but it definitely isn't the final call. More likely the 1st communication by email or phone makes the final decision.

I had a completely different looking short list when I thought about the idea of hobbying.  Then when I found this message board I asked a few questions and found some people very helpful.  (both guests and providers)  Then came into contact with my new 1st choice right here on the board.  With her seeming down to earth and having a well respected presence by everyone here on the board, it put some some of my initial worries to rest.

After reading these posts that everyone puts on here, I will have to say that there are some providers that I would have over-looked, but will now like to consider because of their MB personality and there are some that may look smoking hot, but I would not even give them a thought because of how they act on here.

.....my board presence has stopped just as many from happening haha. But they are a small percentage in comparison those who just look at my reviews and its contents.

I have met a few ladies on the boards, and seen a few of them. At first, I went with the idea that I liked conversing with them, so I would go ahead and give it a shot even if they were not exactly my type. That did not go so well.

So then I went the other way, and screened ladies I met on the boards even more carefully than otherwise, which still did not go so well. Now I mostly avoid ladies I may interact with on the boards. That is not how I screen and the way I screen works okay. Not that I interact a lot here, these days.

There is one exception - a UTR lady who PM'ed me in reply to something I posted, something that applied quite specifically to her. After a bit of an exchange in order to assure she was in the ballpark of who she said she was, I took a shot. We have seen each other a few times, and I plan to keep seeing her But that is a very unusual situation in a lot of ways, and to go back to the original question, she did not really have a board presence as such, just read a post and PM'ed me in reply.

i have only contacted 3 ladies i have met on the boards..two i still see till today..they are just as genuine and real as their posts are..the other was a total disaster..self serving and arrogant..the complete opposite of her board persona..seeing one of these ladies based solely on her posts is always a gamble..sometimes you win..sometimes you lose..

Yup, it can influence my decision making process to varying degrees.  I tend to avoid drama queens and those who create train wrecks on the boards.  I haven't used any agencies, but if their owner or representative has a history of acting unprofessionally on the boards, it could influence my decision on whether I would use their agency in the future.

On a positive note, I've seen a few providers who I probably would not have contacted if it weren't for their board presence.  One of those providers also became my ATF.

...it DEFINITELY goes both ways.

While there are some providers who are willing to put up with an asshole for an hour or 2 in exchange for their rate, I have also met quite a few ladies who refuse to see gents because of their tone on the boards.

That positive attitude with outgoing personality helps a lot in the buz.

Having that kind of outlook on the board, helps some see what type of person we will be in the bedroom....

It is kind of a sneak peak with us... plus the reviews don't hurt.

Made an appointment with JC as a result of a recent posting by her.

I have been told by a few that I sometimes come across a little rough on the board and yet when they talk to me or meet me, they think I am a teddy bear.  Guess it's the old New Yawka in me.... (damn yankees!).  

I have also been told by many, many guys who book with me that they love how I don't take crap from my haters on here.  I always stand up for the girls I work with as well as the other girls and agencies on here!

But the pendulin swings both ways.  The biggest significant thing that sways the decision making process I think is the reviews....#1 and the pics...#2 and I personally think that most guys prefer non-airbrushed pics!

I agree about the positive attitude.
I would add that a friendly and respectful persona is immensely important.
There have been occasions when I saw a catty response to another provider....Huge turn off...
It helps to be friends w/ as many providers and Hobbyists as possible.
I also love to see sensous or sexy innuendos passed along....that says a lot!

I think I am demographic you are looking for and in my opinion
Sage and Bebe are some of the sexiest ladies and best providers.
The enthusiasm and hotness just come through in the boards and discussions, then when you meet them you will be blown away. It does come through

If nothing else it keeps them in the mind's presence.
