I wish the reviews were coming back as well also.  I saw a post for a provider that I was interested in, and thought I'll check out her reviews....and then went "oh yeah...fuck...reviews are gone".

It's not that reviews were the holy grail of info.  It was just nice to have to help with ascertaining if it would be the type of date I was looking for.

Sadly, I just find myself not hobbying and wondering if others are doing the same.

I'm with you. No reviews, no go. Likewise, they are not the holy grail of info, but they are a good starting point. I have seen many posts and talked with many providers and a good portion seem to like the idea of no reviews. I don't get it. This hobby is full of risks. A. It illegal. B. Full of scams (ah, backpage anyone? not going to be missed). C. Health risks for all parties (minimal to extreme depending on practices). D. And of course the lady not being who they presented themselves as in an online profile (That never happens!). E. And for the ladies, the many douchebags lingering out there that can be a simple hassle to downright dangerous.

For me, I get the opportunity to partake a few times a year. I have a pretty good idea of what sort of experience I am looking for. I don't want to take a chance of seeing someone that doesn't provide what I am looking for. That's where reviews are important. reviews plus their online presence are the deciding factors for me. No review, no go. Great website or not.  Fortunately, a lot of the ladies have moved to Canada or Australia and visit here quite a lot. A few more steps to research, but no biggie. Many of the ladies are adapting. The ones that haven't won't be in the business very long.

I'd bet Sandy moves all her ladies to Toronto and visits here quite a bit. Then we an see all her lady's reviews. She might even post the TER ID's on each models profile so they can be readily found.

Seeing a new provider is always a gamble ( just as it is for her seeing a client), but the reviews put the odds in favor of both sides getting what they want. It’s  like a tip on a stock vs playing roulette. Stocks aren’t a 100% sure thing, but more transparency put the odds in your favor and even a bad tip meant a minor loss.  Now it’s a total gamble. Unless it’s someone you’ve seen, you have no idea if the pictures are accurate, what services are offered, etc. it’s like putting it all on red 17 and crossing your fingers. I love variety and will repeat a couple times with outstanding providers, but mostly enjoy the thrill of someone new. Lack of reviews is definitely reducing my forays into fun. I had been hobbyng a couple times a month but now it’s hard to pull the trigger.  I think everyone will see decreased activity, but newbies are really going to feel the pain. I have TOFTT on occasion, but now it’s TOFTT the team EVERY time. I’ll probably still play every couple months but, until reviews return I’ll be much more cautious and I’m betting there’s lots of others like me.

I hope you know more about Wall Street than you do about Vegas.

For those of you still confused. 17 is always BLACK on a roulette wheel. lol

As for how things are now in the hooker/john world, for many people it's going to take a big adjustment if FOSTA/SESTA remains the law of the land, but for me personally it hasn't affected me a lot yet. I still have P 411, I still have at least a hundred different phone numbers and personal notes saved in my contacts, and about two years ago I started seeing more and more Sugar Babies and less and less hookers. So for the time being at least I am doing fine. I wish I could say the same thing for many of my "hooker buddies" who I know are taking a serious financial hit right now.

Fix the link to your website might be a good start.

Yes, hostility and crazies goes with the territory.

Honestly I love not having reviews although mine might be visible since I "relocated" to Canada but still Travel the usa, most reputable providers like me have a website so that you can decide based on the information given if you think you'd be a good fit for each other or not, just because a bunch of people say they had a great time at Six Flags doesn't mean you will have the same experience because everyone is different ,with different perspectives on what's good or not.  most like me are on preferred or other boards that are still active.

I can somewhat understand feeling that way from a provider's perspective. But look at it from the client's end. Having a website with some pictures and even a profile on P411 doesn't necessarily mean she's legit, or cares about quality service. Reviews from our end served a similar purpose to references or okays on your end. The system definitely wasn't perfect, but if a provider chooses not to see newbies (not sure whether you do or not) it shouldn't be hard to understand why a lot of us hate the thought of trying to see providers with no reviews to go off of.

Reviews were great for everyone. Clients get a much clearer idea of what can be expected, so my guess is they will be more likely to book having that bit of security. Which means more business for most escorts, less for low performance escorts. Providers get the reputation they earn. So when a client books there is a higher connection between the service expectation and the fee, and if that is delivered to mutual satisfaction then repeat business is more likely. TER was a win for most. There’s just always the crazies that jump in the mix, and such is life.

In principle, I think reviews are a good thing.  I've gotten a lot of business based on reviews, I would never deny that.

However, while my reviews on regional forums and other sites were always great, my TER numbers at least have never been impressive.  A few months ago I got a review that described me as "the girl in the pics and super hot" but rated me a 5 on looks.  The same review said "a great time and will repeat" but was a 6 on performance.

I'm not complaining.  Mediocre TER numbers have not held me back from having a great career.  I still think reviews are better than no reviews.

I hear a lot of contradictions out there... some of the same people say "sex work is just work" and then say it's too personal an interaction to be reviewed like any other product or service.  Maybe at the very high end, ladies can do well with no reviews, but for the vast majority of ladies, the average guy who doesn't do this often, can have a hard time telling a rip off or a just lousy provider from a legit one without reviews.

A lot of my clients don't even know about SESTA.  They don't know anything but what they see on Eros and my own site.  I've had clients check out my Twitter and tell me they discovered a "whole new world" they never knew existed, and honestly, my Twitter is pretty time and I avoid politics.

I think ladies, who spend a lot of their time in this world, forget that MOST of our clients DON'T.  They peek in, pick someone out, and forget about it til next time.  That's the whole point, for many, and it;s not fair to expect them to become experts.

True patriot love in all thy sons command!

Since moving to Canada, I found things to be much easier. Of course I visit my family here in Chicago a lot because I just miss them so much!

It also allowed me to find out just what the heck a VPN and an Onion Browser was, downloaded in that order. VPN first, Onion browser second.

At any rate, everyone who managed to figure out how to make it to this board can just click on my profile to see which "services" I offer in Oh! Canada We stand on guard for thee! :D

Since moving my reviews to my new home city of Toronto, my reviews are still accessible to men who have me saved as a favorite.

As for new clients, however .... None (obviously) have come from this platform.

So I too wonder why the reviews are not reinstated. Perhaps only allow new ones - non explicit ones?

There has to be a way to circumvent the bullshit laws.

BUT I also realize that I am not an attorney, and my grasp of this entire landscape is not 100% solid.

Just pontificating.
