I'm seriously considering renting a gold-coast hotel room with all'a my college girlfriends, buying a few bottles of champagne, and watching the fire-works from there...

What are y'all doing on Independence Day?

Just finished smoking a brisket for the last 12 hours.  Gonna finish it on the grill on the 4th. Have some ribs, dogs, burgers and chicken. Gonna make homemade ice cream which I haven't done in 20 years. Then watch the fireworks.

I signed up to read the Declaration of Independence out loud to family and friends. Then Wheaton is having a parade.

Celebrations around here (Naperville's Rib Fest and Lisle's Eyes to the Skies) end July 3.

Oh yummy can I lick your cone after I taste your perfectly seasoned meat??

And you can have some ice cream and BBQ!

.. back to the good ol' days on a farm w/ my great uncles , aunts , cousins, brother & sister!!  what wonderful times!!  I'll be having BBQ w/ family, Wednesday, followed by a special 4th w/  a wonderful lady!!
