I remember Adora from way back..

Yeah, I remember her from back in the day.  She retired awhile back and came back.   The guy she "fell in love with" (from the hobby I think) was a deadbeat, lived in Minnesota,  and she supported him financially.    She had a lot of financial problems, came back to the hobby more than doubled her rate.   Attitude changed too - she is now on my Do Not See List which is getting longer these days.

I don't have a problem with putting down a deposit for an appointment.  But, I recently had an experience with a local provider who wanted 30% down.  She is very low volume and has limited days per week.  I was anxious to get on for a specific date, and I only had 25% so I sent it with a note that the remainder would be sent ASAP.   I sent it to her, and she returned it with a slightly miffed message.  I apologized and then sent her the full amount of the deposit plus $125 to show good faith.  It's been a few days and I haven't received any replies back from her.  I guess I learned an etiquette lesson.

is your appointment?   If you dont hear anything, yes you learned a hard lesson.   The lesson you can teach is to share the name so that everyone can be on notice of who she is.

I made the appointment based on the dates of her availability listed on her site.  She had several dates in July listed.
I will give her a little more time before I out her.  The only thing I can think of is that she is pissed that I sent her $300 for deposit instead of $375.  I was anxious to get that appointment.

I hope it works out.  Although, my intuition is screaming that you may have learned a very hard lesson.

Only if she has multiple glowing reviews here (indicating that she is reliable), would it have made sense to send a deposit (I have never sent a deposit - but, to each his own).  I'm afraid that the lesson here is going to be:  Use TER as intended.  Look for, and read, reviews.  The forums are great for conversation, getting insight and exchanging knowledge.  But, the true value of TER are the reviews.  Use them.

Her last TER review was July of 2024. All great reviews, but I should have seen that as a red flag.

Based on the fact that she refunded the first deposit.  And, the effort that has been put into her web site, I'd guess that she's legit enough.

Assuming that you read her site, and provided all of the requested information for booking, I'd venture that she's popular enough that she decided that  A) She doesn't need to deal with a payment plan for her deposit.  B) She's not interested in clients who aren't ready with the full deposit amount.  Don't forget, as much as we clients get jerked around.  The ladies get jerked around too.

But, if she made those choices, it does not excuse her keeping your second deposit and ghosting you.

I'm sorry about your shitty experience.  Thanks for sharing.

Sorry, but I would not send deposits to any provider who is not reputable here on TER. To be eligible for TER’s top 100 list of reviews you need to be active by having a current review within the last 3 months.

Regardless, if she was pissed at the initial lack of deposit sent she could at least reply. It doesn’t take long to send a message. Look 👀 at your spam folder caca happens. I had a potential client contact me yesterday stating that I never responded to his inquiries, but after sending him screen shots of my emails I sent him he responded that’s on him.

I have required a deposit to book, since 2010. I stared this trend that is now the norm. I refund deposits if I have to cancel because I have integrity. Not all providers are created equally. I would definitely share who she is if you don’t get a response. Professional courtesy is to reply once you receive a deposit. 💸

She requested 30% deposit, which comes out to $375.  I was anxious to get in on what appeared to be specific and limited days.  I only had $300, so I sent it with a message that I would send the other $75 ASAP.  I just wanted the date secured.  She responded with displeasure and returned the $300, minus the Cash App service charge.  I then sent her $500 for the deposit which included an extra $125 for the trouble.  That was on June 21 and no response back yet.  I think 4 days is more than enough time.  Her name is Adora (Adora Diamond).

This is the scoundrel.  Adora (Diamond)  Link below.

The math does not add up. She is $1000 for one hour or $1500 for 2 hours. In either case, the deposit would be either $300 or $400. What am I missing? Hope this works out for OP

I apologize, I meant to say she wanted 25% deposit=$375.  I first sent her $300.  Then after she returned it, I sent her $500 on the 21st.  I then sent 2 short follow up messages with no response.

This scenario sounds troubling. The overwhelming majority of companions who require a deposit will have a policy along the lines of "[Deposits are not refundable unless I cancel.]"

Assuming things transpired as you've detailed, it sounds like SHE is canceling / has canceled. If she has a similar policy, the onus is on her to return the deposit or provide an update. What does her booking form or ad say about how she handles deposits or cancelations?

One suggestion I have is to email her once more and CC Paramour Designs since they are listed as her website designer. Depending on what package she has with them, it may be the case that they also handle her web hosting, and they might also do her "Advanced Booking & Screening Form" and "Booking Management." I'm not trying to implicate folks she's contracted to do her web / admin / tech support or make the case that they are responsible for her actions. I'm just wondering if it might be the case that they already have access to relevant information related this booking or if they can help troubleshoot. Per Paramour Designs: "Clientl is a CRM (customer relationship management) platform that we co-founded, to help providers manage bookings and screenings better, automate workflows, improve customer engagement, and ultimately get more business.." The other thing I'm wondering is does she have Preferred 411? That might be another route to take to get some clarity from her about what is going on.

Yes Adora is on P411.  I sent my appointment request to her from her P411 page.  She responded quickly and seemed fine until I sent the partial deposit.

Unless things have drastically changed and I missed the memo, they should be able to intervene. Companions have a section on our Preferred 411 profile where we can detail our deposit or cancelation policies. In fact P411 is very thorough to the point where they require updates to those policies to be reviewed by them before the change can be reflected on a companion's profile.

Based on my understanding, if the client is in the wrong and for example, he refused to abide by a companion's cancelation policy and pay any remaining fee he is obligated to pay, that client risks his profile. I'm very certain it's also the case that if a companion takes a deposit and just ghosts, she'll be penalized. You should make Preferred 411 aware especially since you did an appointment request via Preferred 411.

Thanks for the info.   I will try to see what P411 can do here.

I just finished filling out a complaint form on P411 for Adora (Diamond) Adora (P100728).   It's been a week since I sent her a deposit for an appointment and haven't heard back from her since.  i followed up with her with 2 more emails and I gave her plenty of time and opportunity to get back to me, but she completely ghosted me after I sent the money.

I have never given a deposit and I don't intend to. Definitely not appropriate for this type of business. If everyone would work this way then they would simply stop asking. I am surprised this keeps coming up.

There are some long standing providers with great reputations who request a deposit.  If you see a provider for the 2nd time and you both got along, they don't ask for it.  Some don't ask for one ever.  Adora is no longer on P411 because of this.

I guess I've been lucky in that I haven't been "burned" by sending deposits, regardless of the lady having reviews here or elsewhere.  I tend not to look for those before I reach out to someone.

Anyway, reading your account of what happened, my suggestion would be:  communicate

I understand not being able to send the full deposit.  However, to send a partial deposit *without* talking to her *first* is probably what "set her off".  Keep in mind, I have no idea who any of the "players" are here.  :)   lol

I've been in your situation, though. I wanted to book the date but couldn't send the deposit right then (or when she initially asked for it).  In fact, I have 4 dates coming up (two this month, two next month) where all the companions wanted deposits, I couldn't send the deposits at the time they were requested and all three were ok with me sending the deposits when I could and at least a week before the calendar date I requested.

So, I suggest communicate with the ladies you want to spend time with a bit more.  Be respectful of their time and try not to come off like you're trying to "get over" on them and see how things go.  Of course, I can't guarantee any results, especially since I have no clue who you will want to see next but you never know how things will go until you give it a shot.   Simply being respectful and considerate of their time can really go a long way.  By "considerate", I mean limiting communication to only what's required.  Don't send 20 messages when 1 or 2 will do.  Also, if you do get them to accept a delayed deposit, make sure you let them know when you will send it and when it's been sent.

Good luck!!!!!

That's unfortunate, hopefully you hear back from her. I was scheduled to see her while she was supposed to be touring last year but she couldn't make it. She sent back the deposit since she was the one canceling.

Yeah I don’t believe in deposits.  Never .
What’s wrong with trust and do the right thing if need to cancel ?
