In light of recent events there is a bit of a mass migration to switter.at, an open source alternative to twitter.  

I just signed up. Still trying to figure it out. I've never used Twitter, so this is a new format for me.

Do the hashtags for Orland Park or O'Hare work too or just Chicago? I would like to be able to post when I'm in certain cities like today I'm in Orland. Next week Oakbrook.

Switter resembles Craigslist and Backpage with mostly low-rent hookers and a few desperate ones who lost their website -- no reviews, just a few listings. It's also a perfect honeypot for LE. Our only hope is that TER will eventually get back to being the most useful resource for both hobbyists and hookers alike.

of all the massive porn and chat sites that keep promoting non-stop. Even when you try and block them, they keep coming like ants at a picnic. over and over. The legit escorts are few and far between, if you can even catch them during the constant invasion of garbage. Oh, and the site is so overloaded with bot ads, it keeps crashing.

...is the shortage of truly hot independents in the Chicago area. All the young hotties here are monopolized by the agencies (actually one, maybe two). I see indie escorts in Portland, NYC, NJ, Nashville, LA....anywhere but here...that are truly top drawer material. Sure, like Chicago I see a fair share of BBW and scrounges -- but it's not difficult finding really great looking, super-hot non-agency girls out of town. Anywhere but Chitown.

The last time I checked, switter is down.  There is a lot of independent ladies who is touring here in Chicago.  They are not to hard to find.
