I got an appointment request from a guy who could not meet my screening requirements. So instead he sent me his work ID and DL.

What's happening to discretion these days?  

I was looking at the TER Whitelist post below and shaking my head about screening requirements that ask or real names, biz cards, DLs, etc.

I notice (I think) an increasing number of forum posts on the part of clients and providers debating the security of various methods of verification.

If I were a paranoid person, I'd almost think LE was coming in here and sowing the seeds fear and distrust.

Why wouldn't you want all the screening info? I don't want fake info... Screening is important for our safety..  Discretion should always be expected & respected but there should to be a thorough screening process... Well I expect that...

Screening sites that show that providers vouch for a client is all that is necessary.  

Providers and/or agencies that ask for names/ids/employment should be avoided at all costs by hobbyists.  That is, unless you want to be blackmailed/shamed/arrested when the info leaks.  And it will leak out guys.  There are plenty of examples out there.  Don't be stupid.

There seems to be these ladies who think having a guy's name protects them somehow.  It does not.  Most women who are assaulted/stalked/raped know their attacker.  Having their name does nothing.  Read the news for proof.

There are enough ladies that will see guys without ID.  The dumb guys go to the providers that require it.  If all providers required IDs, the price of the P would plummet.  Basic supply and demand economics.  I, and the smart ones, would leave the hobby.

When I was in the corporate world and I was a Supervisor on a team of 150 people. I over saw about on average 12 - 16 people. I eventually begame the "go to team" because I was able to get my people to do what I need with no drama or problems, or i should say very few. I was not concerned with their names, address, previous employment in the interview, that didnt tell me anything. I was concerned with how they answered my questions, how did they interact with me on the phone and in person, could i tease them and most important could they tease me back or were they timid.

I have taken this approach to who I see. I will not see a gentlemen unless I have a conversation on the phone. If they are raunchy to me on the phone then the conversation ends and I dont see them. If they can have a conversation and laugh and joke and "let their guard down" a little bit then I continue the "interview" and decide weather to see a gentlemen.

I have never had a problem from any gentlemen I have ever seen, never had a stalker (although how can they stalk me when i only do outcalls or incalls in upscale hotels), if their phone number does not check out on various sites, its a no go till i get an actual number, if their email does not check back to anything, then i need an email they use on a regular basis. This information tells me more than I will ever need to know.  

A drivers license or employee id will not tell me how they will treat me and their language. If they speak proper grammar, can tease me on the phone, can be intellectual and have proper manners then it is usally a go and the other information checks out.

People have criticized me on how I screen, they even accused me of being cautious. I said oh contrare, my screening is very hard, the guy just doesnt know what I am doing to screen him. In fact all my reviews even say the screening was easy. This is what I want them to think, however, I do my own due diligence, and I am extremely cautious.

Girls.... take this info for how you want... take the advice or dont....however, you can contact any of my reviewers and they will tell you having a chat put them at ease and put me at ease and made the meeting go smooth.

I can't remember the last provider I spoke to on the phone before my first date with them.

OK Gemma suppose u have my info. Say you get busted but the cops can't make a case against you. They take your diary and then come to me and offer me a deal. I am a scared little chicken and spill my guts.  

Then they go to some other guy and now they have enough make a case against you. Now they have a case against you and they can flip you to get bigger fish by asking you flip on the senators in your diary. You see where this is going

This post makes sense.  I've noted many opinions on the boards here pro and con agencies, whether a client is "stupid" to give a lady his name and contact info, etc., etc.  I've come to a personal decision that if a lady is an established, reviewed TER provider, I'd rather just call her, chat, with  her, give her all the info she asks for and wait for a call back. Personally I'd MUCH rather have one or two providers have my info than an agency, but reasonable minds can differ on that.

What if I walked down the street and accidentally tripped on the sidewalk and fell in a dog who ran into the street who caught my neck by its collar and choked me to death while the owner gets hit by a cop car and then and then and then.

I think I'll stay home.

I mean, it's really simple.

If you don't like someone's requirements, then don't see them.

if someone offers you "too much" information, give it back to them or delete it.  

Everyone has their own levels of comfort. Do as thou wilt.

Verification service, provider references, and if one of those isn't available I ask for what you just listed.  Men who are more at risk can opt to provide the info in person, which is the primary reason I offer coffee dates.

I think he sounds like a great, forthcoming guy who really wants to see you and wants you to be comfortable.

plus they are more likely to get busted.  The #'s in that phone can all be traced.  No if you are smart and have a burner then you are all good.  If it is not it can and could be traced back to you and now they can try to do the same.  Trust me, it is not that hard to trace a personal cell and many do use one on a plan.  

You do what you feel safe with and hope your girl has good instincts enough to know if is it a cop they are speaking to.  Don't put down someone who requires more just because you don't agree.  Personally, my honest opinion is that a non-screener, gut-screener, or one who accepts fake names is more likely to get busted.  Why?  Going on references alone could be dangerous as some girls will flip and provide references to whoever.  It happens all the time.  Not screening you could be inviting anyone in.  And with a gut screener who just knows if she is talking to the cops there are also informants that do not sound like cops.  On the flip, I have met some nice people men and women alike that put on a great face for you in advance and conversate well, but flip when alone and turn into loony toons.  

We can argue the point till we are all blue in the face.  However you are still going to do what works for you and I will still do what works for me.  Nothing is going to change it and personally I would rather starve then compermise what has kept me safe just because I could make more $$ opening the flood gates to possible undesirables.  You will stick to those who have loose screening practices and that is the way it shall remain.  But do not think you are at less risk giving less info, your girl is at more risk which puts you at more risk.  

Shoot if they bust the girl and MAKE her continue to take appts to bust the remaining guys you are f---ed anyway so either way or any way lack of screening does not make your chances better if only in your own mind

I ask for a couple simple questions and they start stumbling on words, and can't answer anything Name? Age? Reference Ok thanks "John" good luck in your search for a new provider.

I can completely understand why the average guy with a job and a wife wouldn't want to take the chance on some hooker going all BSC on him, and ruining his life over a mediocre review or some other trivial perceived transgression, but not all of us are vulnerable to that kind of blackmail. I don't mind showing ID or giving out virtually any kind of personal info, short of anything that could be used for identity theft of course. I don't mind because there is absolutely NOTHING anyone can do to hurt me with that information.

It is a bit ironic, with all the thousands of women I have seen over the last forty something years, the only people that have tried to harm me by "outing me" were both men, well cowardly little punks is probably a better term for them. Don't get me wrong, I am NOT advocating that any guy with anything to lose if outed should follow my lead, just stating my own personal experience is all.

Dude ur too dang paranoid... Trust me ur info isn't kept like most of think, most of us providers don't have time to plan a big scheme of using it against u either..... Who got time for that....   Unless you're memorable, you're forgotten once u leave the premises!!!!   Us smart ones don't get busted by the cops cuz we SCREEN & VERIFY THROUGHLY!!!!! . The OP did say some jabber about her method of screening & not asking for real info...  Safety is 1st, you have to be cautious & make sure the person your going to see is safe, respectable & decent...

Clearly the simplest way is to see providers is be signed up as members of various reputable sites... I swear it's simple it's my job & pleasure very easy...

..where credit is due.  With that said, props to the OP on some awesome marketing.  But you are playing with fire.  You just opened you and your clientele to a bunch of attention from outside parties.  And to clients who may be dangerous.  But you know that, and you know exactly WHY sometimes referrals can be problematic from a provider reference standpoint only for verification.

Even if you don't screen thoroughly, why would anyone put that on a open forum?  Whatever traffic you get is not worth the bust, you know?  But, you never responded to anyone cause you got the exposure you wanted.  But new ladies might not get it, so......
