Looking for someone who knows the time line of Appeals in the Appellant level? I need IL law not Federal!

The right to appeal an adverse decision is granted by the Illinois Constitution. Generally, the appellant must file a Notice of Appeal and pay a filing fee within 30 days of the final order.

There are exceptions that extend the time, such as a motion for sanctions or post trial motions.  Be very careful on procedure -- once the time is up, it's up for good.  The timing of the notice is jurisdictional -- meaning the Court of Appeals cannot hear it even if it wants to once the deadline is blown.
