Mostly because it's more expensive than male condoms. Pretty often it also makes a noticeable sounds during an intercourse. I'm not sure how does it work with STD's also, but what if there is any infection in vagina? I think there must be some reasons...

it is slowly becoming more fashionable with the ladies..insertion seems to be the drawback..lube or not..it seems to be an awkward move to some of our more seamless session ladies..

Haven't used a regular condom in a long time. The insertion thing iscnotva big deal, actually it can be fun.

I hate having to order stuff off of the computer because for some reason I only receive it in the mail like 1/3 of the time. Right now, I am waiting on a freakin order of FC2's to come from AMAZON.

I do get them when I get tested- but my doctor only gives me 7. But at least they are free then. At first- I'd just use them like regular condoms, and I had to learn that with FC2s you get ONE per session. And if a second cup of coffee is on the table, that cup will be with Trjoan Maaan! LMAO!  

Yes there are the other issues like people mentioned- putting it in. Noises. But as far as the putting it in -  if you use a smooth toy you can insert it pretty easily. - Any ladies who want a further "tutorial" pm me. I can give you some other pointer to make insertion simpler. Also - as far as the noises ... turn on some music and moan louder - you wont hear it then!!

On different days with male condoms I lasted much longer with the same ladies. So if you like more than an hour, they may not be for you

Couple fancy tidbits about Female condoms:

1.) the inner ring can be taken out, and the condom can be used for anal sex, among hetero or gay partners.  
2.) the FC2 can be inserted vaginally for up to 4hrs prior to intercourse! which means that for some of the exhibitionists among us, who like to sex in public bathrooms, at music concerts....ie....you're ready to go!!  
3.) also, the FC2 is larger in width that ANY other condom on the market. so for all the extra "gifted" fellas out there, we have you covered  
4.) they're made out of Nitrile, which is what surgical gloves are made from and NO ONE is allergic to.  
5.) Nationally, Walgreens carries them in stores you can search their website to see which stores near you have them.  
6.) FREE at most HIV testing sites and for the cheap (and often free) at Planned Parenthood.
7.) the "noisy" ones were the first generation FC...the newer generation the FC2 (the ones made of Nitrile) are close to silent!  
8.) AWESOME for threesomes: each lady wears her condom and client can hop from body to body without needing to change condoms so many times!!
9.) first invented in 1980, there are 3 versions made by different companies, available around the would...but most popularity is in India, Africa and USA.

they're awesome.   and I don't limit a friend to "one per session".    that's crazy talk.  

they're less than a buck-and-a-half apiece (when ordered in packs of 10) - -  worth every penny.

I've NEVER had an issue with delivery with this site.

To answer the OP question as to why they aren't more popular?

1) first off, "not knowing" about them -  I learned about them a year and a half ago....and didn't start using them until about 6 months later.  
 
2) convenience of delivery if ordering them online  

3) like others have mentioned....planning ahead to order them, etc etc etc

4)"price" would be another point - - why pay more  when you can get regular ones for "free to .20 to .50 each",   to spend 1.50 may be a bit excessive.  

I personally  think they're fantastic and prefer them over regular ones.  Even if I didn't personally  "prefer" them I would still have them available and always offer them as an alternative to the regular one as more and more guys are familiar with them, or have heard about them and really want to try them

generally when I/we start fucking we don't do much daty....until round 2 starts.  but I did have one client who did daty with the fc in me.  I use strawberry flavored (Of Course) lube.....  so pretty tasty.  Also  the FC are not made from latex so don't have the crappy latex taste.      

Can always take it out and put in a new one too.

I get you.  I can see DATY, bringing in a smooth toy and then using it as a guide to insert the FC and then off to the races!  Same scenario i n69 sounds like it would be a lot of fun, too, to get the juices flowing.  Will definitely bring it up at my next session.  Thanks,
