As a newbie to this hobby, I've been viewing many of the
providers web sites. I'm impressed with the quality of the sites,
but

Please don't rely on the latest shockwave flash on your websites.
If your site is only in the latest flash and I don't have it,
I'm not going to go download it. You do want people to find out
about you, right?

I have a fast cable connection, but for those who don't, you may
want to break up your photo galleries into smaller sections. Not
20 large pictures on one page.

If you're going to host it on a free site, PLEASE don't use one
that has multiple pop-up ads. I can deal with one or two, but
not close one and two more open.

Two or Three high quality photos are better than seven to ten
poor quality photos.

Some time less is more. Just because there is space on the page
doesn't mean you need to fill it with text.

Register a domain name so I can go to www.sweetheartxxx.com
etc. and not http://somename.com/morebs/morebs/myname.html
You can always redirect your domain name to the longer address.

If it's possible, have a photo of your face. Even if you want to
protect your idenity, have the face photo on a page separate from
your more revealing galleries. This picture doesn't have to be
revealing, you can be tastefully dressed for this picture.

You can get a domain name for about 25 -30 a year, (less multi
year sign up) try www.namesecure.com

To protect your photos from being misused, have a watermark in the
photo with your name in it. One advantage of having your own
domain name (from the tip above)

Put some thought into the website , because the impression it
gives me may decide whether I'll ever meet you. And that will
definitely be your loss
