Scores in Schiller Park let me sit in their super awesome (gross) lounge area as I called my lawyer to discuss the sexism.  They said I could not get in without a male.  Whatever, what if I were a total lesbian.  Would my partner and I not be allowed in because we are both chicks.  UNFAIR!!!

I am super mad and taking legal action - Who thinks it is so wrong to condemn a woman from her God given right to enter an establishment without a male companion?

I just saw a group of lesbians at a table last week here in Las Vegas and asked how they got in and they said that a guy friend escorted them in.  So wrong!

I beleive that they don't want ladies coming in and trying to "work" the crowd away from the dancers.

A buddy of mine manages a strip club. He said they don't want single females coming in because they are usually hookers and compete with the dancers. This has nothing to do with sexism, but profits and security. They can't control who they don't employ.

That was very fucked up and rude of them!  You should be allowed to go in and enjoy the entertainment just as much as any single man or couple.  Do they think a single woman in there is "competition" for their girls? Or somehow freak out their customers? Very weird shit.  Would they have allowed 2 or 3 girls to go in together?  I have female friends in San Antonio that go as a group to a "gentlemen's club" all the time...they get better lap dances than the guys (and more touching is allowed too!)

I suppose if they don't want to take your money there are a variety of other establishments who will.

It occurs to me that there may be a method to that madness, though.  First, the policy may not be "no single girls". Rather, and this would make some sense, the policy may be "no single HOT girls".

Let's not forget that they're selling a show/fantasy in there and the attraction is up on the stage/pole, whatever.  A HOT girl sitting alone will take about 10 seconds to distract the randy male patrons from the fantasy/show that the establishment is selling thereby affecting the bottom line.  Your mere presence may cost the girls working there some money.

This should probably be taken with a grain of salt because A.  I've never been to Scores and, B.  I avoid titty bars altogether because as far as I'm concerned it's the same as taking a starving man to a buffet and telling him that he cannot eat the food.

While I sympathize with your position, the last time I looked, Scores was a private enterprise, not dependent on government funding. As such, they have private property rights that include the right to set admission policies.

I agree with your position, Giselle, but as a firm believer in property rights, I would have to defend Scores. I don't believe they have broken any laws.

As long as you can prove you're a paying customer, why not let women in!?

Yes, there are some archaic things going on in Nevada (even in some brothels still, I think) but hopefully they will all realize that women like boobs too! lol

No takers on your contest? I suspect you were pissing up a rope with $$$ signs in your eyes. I can't tell you how many lawsuits of this nature go to hell in a hand basket. Whether it is discrimination is another question as, if they have publicly stated rules about unescorted women, then that be another blow against your wanton money grab. I see why you might feel wronged, but private clubs and establishment do exist as they have for 100s of years. Just as you can choose to see someone because of who they are, then ask yourself, how does the guy you turned away because he was too fat, too odorous, too black, too italian, you get the drift. We all have rules and someone might not like yours.

Nor am I at my business.

women don't pose as much of a threat to business because patrons aren't as likely to hit on a girl with a group of friends around her. But imagine one hot girl in the place all by herself with a bunch of horny guys looking for action (i.e., more than stripping, lol). Suddenly she becomes the focal point in the place because there's a possibility a guy can get lucky whereas we all know that possibility is pretty much zero with the strippers. And let's face it, hookers do go on the hunt in strip clubs if they can get away with it and no club owner wants LE raiding the place. These clubs are operating on the fringe of legality and LE is often in the club looking for one wrong move by a patron or the stripper. Having a guy walk out with a woman he picked up in a strip club is asking for LE trouble. That seems to be true around here anyway. I've been to clubs in LA where almost anything goes.

Giselle was trying to do something fun for the community and it didn't work out. Yes, she was frustrated in the moment and lashed out but she knows she can't do anything about it and she said she's over it. If even one person had bothered to show up, she wouldn't have been alone at the entrance. Next time you guys say you're in for something, how about actually showing up or sending the host a message stating you can't make it. Ever hear of RSVP?

It's like those regular posts about when there's a no-show on either a hobbyist or provider's side. Usually one of the elements of time, location, or day was missing in confirmation. Here, I didn't have location or time.
