Happy stupid birthday to me;(  I hate getting older but on the bright side I will be getting lots of sparkly stuff from boys and one in particular is taking me to the destination of my choice.

So I am asking where to go, where to go...  I might also be working on my downtime but for no less than 4 hours and would appreciate input from both providers as well as gentlemen.  I was thinking of venturing to Canada, Main or California.  Whatcha think?

If you desire Canada, check out Montreal, it is like a mini Paris with great hotels and dining experiences. If California is a must, check out the Napa Valley wine train excursion. If you want to go east, Maine is quiet, but I would suggest Nantucket Island..

Oh, if only High and Tight were here right now to respond to that suggestion!!!!!!!!  LOL

Wrigs, the supposed New York fan suggests a Massachusetts location.  Hey Wrigs, no good places to visit in NY?

Just go to Cancun and have fun in the Sun.
And take All Inclusive package... Man I love those Majetos...

If California, then make sure to take a drive on Hwy 1 from San Fransisco to LA or upto Laguna Beach..

There are so many terrific places in Canada.  If you are leaving soon, I would suggest the following possibilities.

Banff - fly to Calgary, rent a car and visit Banff in the Canadian Rockies.  Better yet, stay in Banff a few days then head up to Lake Louise for a night (Victoria Glacier), then up to Jasper.  You will see some fantastic views in the midst of the Canadia Rockies, including glaciers and ice fields.

Vancouver - A tremendous city with great views and mountains.  Rent a car and drive from Vancouver to Whistler (site of the last winter olympiocs).  

Nova Scotia - I would skip main and head to this island province.

If you like to hike, then Mt. Washington in New Hampshire is a most.

...... its one of my favorite summer destinations. I grew up in MA and spent summers in high school and college on the Cape. Actually the Boston area in general is a good destination. You can easily get to Nantucket, Marthas Vineyard, Cape Cod, Portland , ME, New Hampshire, Newport, RI....all within a couple or less hours from Boston. And Boston itself is real perty in the summer time too


I'm going there later this week myself... couple days in the city, then over to Nantucket, then off to Newport RI.
