So I try to arrange a meeting with this girl that is advertising on Eros. the phone leads to an agency called five star companions. I call them and inquire about the Eros ad and the guy was very gruff with his answers. I ask when she is available and if the pictures were representative of the girl. He then got VERY pissed off that I questioned the authenticity of the photos.

His response was:

"No we just find some random pictures and put them up!"

I answer are you trying to be sarcastic? then he just hangs up on me!! I was ready to make a purchase but he just hangs up on me, I couldn't believe it!

Does anyone else have such terrible phone experiences?

It's frustrating that there are so many agencies out there taking advantage of women who don't know how to handle their business.  In this day and age, we don't NEED middlemen...or middle women, for that matter.  Agencies are famous for the bait and switch, and they secure the best advertising spots and hold on to them.  They often represent the escorts as independents, or at least don't make a point of acknowledging they are with an agency, which is a misrepresentation in itself.
My humble suggestion would be to simply hang up the phone as soon as you realize it's an agency and call a verified independent who has reviews and a stellar reputation.  Leave the pizza delivery services alone.
I'm sure I won't be making new friends with this post, but the delight of living in this age of technology is NO MIDDLEMAN REQUIRED.
 

My opinion is if a guy is going to be answering the phone he needs to be an extra bit nice. Because having a guy answer can really turn people off. And how he treated you is kind of crazy to me - because isn't he TRYING to get them business. I mean, I can kinda guess why. He probably gets calls ALL DAY of people asking "are the pictures real". But like the other person responded - Agencies are KNOWN for doing that! So what does he expect?  

I also agree with the other response, call some well reviewed independents - if you don't want to deal with that. But either way it is CRAZY that he treated you like that.

I agree that the phone experience you describe was awful. But I also am willing to bet that, given his attitude, his statement that he is just putting random pictures up that are nothing like the women working for his agency is more likely than not the simple truth!!

I also agree that I'd rather talk directly to a provider, not to mention, pay all the money to her, not give a cut to someone else.

From past experience, however, I do know that it is possible for a man to answer phones for an agency and be super polite, helpful, and friendly. Over three decades ago, I used to deal with an agency in Chicago called Village, long since disappeared, and the male owner always answered all calls and he was customarily very helpful and I started regarding him as a friend.

Then I stopped using the agency when, after I specifically asked for a provider I had got along well with, he intentionally sent me another provider (because she was not getting many requests, because quite frankly, she had a rotten attitude, was a clock watcher, and tried to cut all sessions as short as possible regardless of whatever time a person had requested and paid for). When I sent her away, called back, and had him send out the provider I asked for to begin with, she then told me that he had done third to her, that she knew of, twice before. She gave me her direct number and I never called that agency again. It was also, from what I heard, the last call she ever did for his agency. Lost track of her long ago, unfortunately. (Miss ya Judy A. wherever you are!).

Obviously he didn't want your business then. Instead of being a pompous ass, like most of the agencies I have dealt with for one thing or another, he could've been polite and respectful, but for whatever reason wasn't. This just shows how professional some can and can't be.

Stick with the independents for a much better and enjoyable experience from start to finish. XOXO

I've been lucky to have escaped having a bad phone call experience with agencies and independents.  Via e-mail though, I have so many horror stories to tell that Stephen King would be asking for my autograph.  Most of the tales of horror have come from independents. [the so-called classy, upscale, college educated, refined, blah blah blah].    Luckily, the good experiences have been much greater in number over my hobby career.

I had one horrible phone experience that taught me a lesson: make your first contact via email.  What happened was this: I call a provider in whom I'm interested in seeing. Right away, she asks how old I am and if I have references. I tell her my age and that I have references, but I'm also a member of two verification services, of which she's also a member. She then nastily says, "It's not enough to be a member of a verification service. You must have references if you're going to have an appointment with me." I realize this is going nowhere good and say to her, "OK, if I'm interested in seeing you, I'll provide references."  She then yells at me, "You, interested in seeing me!?!?!?!?!  I DECIDE IF I'M GOING TO SEE YOU!!!!!"  She then hangs up on me.  That one horrible experience shook me up and almost made me quit this hobby.  A few days later, I came back to my senses and just realized that from now on, my initial contact with independent providers at least, will be through email.

Totally agree with you.  When I first started out, basically the same thing happened to me.  A supposed "quality" provider left such a bad taste in my mouth (pun intended, but joke all you like) when I first tried contacting her via phone that I almost gave up on these encounters altogether. Now this was, and still is, a gal who is a prominent provider - she advertises on rs2k and has for eons, so I figured she would be a safe bet and fun too. So, I called her up and she answered like she was out of breath and in a gruff voice, whereas I was pleasant as pie and said "Hello, I'm so and so, I'm interested in meeting you, etc" She rudely cut me off mid sentence, and said in a panting huff, as if she was going at it with someone, "I can't talk right now, I'll call you back", and then hangs up on me faster than the speed of sound! I guess she decided to multi-task! Haha. Two hours later she calls back, after I went and found another gal, and when I tell her thanks but no thanks, she proceeds to berate me for not waiting for her to call back. I was pissed and told her "ya snooze, ya lose" in a really snotty tone, and then hung up on her. Luckily, I never got to a point in the conversation where I gave any info, so I look back now and laugh. In any case, ever since then I will only initiate contact via email, and it has always worked out better for me like that. Anyhow, that's my $0.02.

I am so surprised that people can be rude like that! How do they get people to come and see them? I mean - I know that sometimes when people call all day and ask the same questions or don't have references, it can be frustrated and repetitious but - I mean come on part of the job is answering your interest calls and giving them the information about you that they seek.  

I am as nice as possible to everyone, all the time. Even not just "in the business". I was taught manners as a child, and I USE THEM. I think some people let things go to their head, and think their shit don't stink. But if they talk to everyone like that- they aren't gonna make that much money!

It is rare that this sort of thing has happened to me.  But, I am happy when it does,  I assume if they are going to treat me poorly on the phone the in-person wont be much better.  It provides a glimpse of their attitude.  That said, anybody can have a bad day.

That's horrible business skills for any business.  Being rude to clients is a great way to go out of business.

I know most of hobbiest would love to and do only see independents.  

Now me being a agency here is my take on independents and agencies.

You have independent ladies that do and will answer all there calls and emails and post there own ads and etc.. And thats awesome!! Good for you girls! handling your own business with no middle man and are doing quit well!!  

But there are some pros of dealing with a agency.

I have girls that don't wake up till noon. How can they book a appt. at 9am for a appt. later that evening. I as a agency can do that for you. Also say you want a appt. now. and the girl is in a appt. already. She shouldn't be answering her phone or emails while she is already in a appt.  You could possibly miss the time of your life.  I have a AMAZING girl Natalia. She has so many great reviews. But she just don't want to deal with her phone going off at all time of the day or night. She just wants to get ready and go to appt. I also have another girl that is AMAZING and could do this for herself. But she likes the security and safety of a agency. We also as a agency can recommend you to hobbiest.  Maybe I am different then most. My first priority  as a booker is the girls safety and for them to make money. If something don't feel right, then I trust my gut and don't book it.  

But yes the girls do pay us for the service I provide. Its a thing that they are ok with doing. Some girls don't like to split there money and I can totally understand that.  And when I was a provider I was independent because of this reason.  

That sucks that you had a bad experience with the guy on the phone. I believe that customer service as a booker is very important.  and repeat and word of mouth is the best form of advertising.
