Chicago is such a great city. I love visiting it. Having said that; why is it a big deal if you stay in the downtown area, and suburbs, or even at the airport. Staying at any of these locations, will deter people coming from the other two locations to drive to where I decided to stay?

This is virtually the only city so far where I have encountered this issue. What I find more mind boggling is that; the people from the area where I decided NOT to stay, feel the need to contact me to tell me "they will not see me" because of where I stayed.

Any theories or explanations would be welcomed :-) I love Chicago and I keep going there because I love the city, and I love the people there. So I'll take any explanation lol.

As with anything the easiest path is the path of least resistance.  I feel the the answer to your question is traffic and parking, if a client is staying downtown in a hotel then of course providers staying downtown are the easiest.  If a client is coming from the burbs, rather then deal with Chicago traffic, ridiculous parking rates it is much easier to stay in the burbs or Ohare were the majority of hotel parking is free and you don't have to deal with the notorious traffic on the Kennedy or Eisenhower.

I think it has everything to do with where Chicago's traffic choke points are. Draw an imaginary north-south line a few miles east of the airport. Two major highways are reduced to three lanes (the Chicago city limits) at this point, and it's a pain in the ass to go from one side to the other during peak hours. If you pull up a traffic map, these points are ALMOST ALWAYS red. For someone on the west side of this line, the airport, Schaumburg and Oak Brook are easy to get to. If someone is in the city proper, to the east of the barrier, it's a pain. The reverse is also true.

If it's rush hour, for example, it can take an hour to go from the airport to downtown and vice versa. Oak Brook to downtown would be a similar trip due to the backup on 290 and the infamous "Hillside Strangler." Especially if it's Friday, it can feel like the difference between Detroit and Windsor. Chicago traffic isn't terrible by big city standards, but the problem spots are very predictable.

If they aren't going to see you and have to send you a "neener neener - you just lost my business because you planned the wrong city" - already saves screening time. They go straight to my "WTF - Didn't pass screening" folder with no response. If they email again, they get filtered thereafter.

I don't even answer compliments unless those compliments are wrapped in a thick stack of $100 bills. (Unless it's obviously a regular supporter - i.e. someone who sees me and keeps coming back.) As far as location is concerned, I'm like my cat on the front porch. She sits on that porch until the boys approach her. The male cat who fights the hardest to get to her, gets the pussy. And she always gets ass.

(We're trying to get a litter of kittens before we spay her, lmao.)

Anyway, they are just trolling.

Some people see that as arrogant, but a confident man doesn't see that as a threat, as much as he sees it as a challenge. And quite honestly, when they find you, wait for you, and get through a tough screening process, while coming to the porch where you sit, it seems their orgasms are better. Get that testosterone and male competition going, and you get the strongest ones.

There are lots of great guys in Chicago. River North / downtown I've noticed is mostly outcalls. But if you're a touring provider, it's different, I'm sure. Burbs are more incall, more dinner dates/extended dates, and more returning clients. If you like 1 hours, the city is great for touring. Business dudes taking late or early lunches, etc etc.

You didn't do anything wrong, all you're doing is getting the typical troll/timewasting emails.

Most gentlemen book based on convenience, and if I were a gent I probably would too. I guess they look at it as there are far too many options to go out of their way. Or, they only have a particular window of time- their lunch break or stop by for an hour on their way home from work, etc., which I can also understand because they are trying to keep their disappearance unnoticed. I always try to put myself in the other person's shoes, and I know it probably is a little hurtful if someone tells you that you aren't worth going out of their way for. Don't take it personal, babe.

The solution to your dilemma is, to switch up your locations during your trip. Maybe do 2 days downtown, 2 days by Ohare and a day or two in Schaumburg. Or someplace that is in the middle of Ohare and Schaumburg. I also feel that when touring it is good to change up hotels anyways, so might as well switch up your areas too.  This is probably the best bet for a trip to Chicago, anyways. Being a resident myself, I have incalls in both NW Suburbs and in the city.

Well stated, Jamie.

I worked downtown for years, so ducking out for a long-lunch, or an after-work tryst was great.   But for those of us who live in the burbs, getting downtown is usually very inconvenient.   Besides the traffic, you have to pay to park, and that usually involves a credit card these days, therefore leaving a trail.  For me, downtown is generally a show-stopper because I have so many ladies to choose from in the burbs.

Many experienced ladies, both local and visiting, know this and spread out their visits to include Oakbrook, Schaumburg or the airport area, as Jamie said.

Don't take it personally, Chicago is a huge urban area with lots of traffic, and getting from one side to the other can take a comittment of time and effort a lot of guys don't have.

Jamie's right.  I just saw a provider who spent several days downtown and several days out by O'Hare.  It may have been inconvenient for her, however, it worked out very well from the market's perspective (plus, she wasn't "so obvious" having the traffic coming to her door for five days straight).

If you want to stay at just one place, then I would recommend the hotels on River Road in Rosemont.  Many downtown guys don't have cars, so the only way they will take public transportation is if you are a block or two from the line.

Good luck!

And I agree, the convenience is better in the burbs; however, touring providers do well downtown, and people go out of their way for a touring provider a lot of times.

But to email a girl and tell her "too bad - you missed it!" Even in a nice way, that's just manipulative and unproductive. They can suggest upon her return that they'd like to see her, can she try out this area or that?

But in my experience, when I listened to it, they never booked anyway. I suggest O'Hare or downtown for touring.

If you are in the suburbs it is an hour to get in and hour and a half to get out if it is rush hour.  Traffic is also unpredictable at times.   Having to park in a garage and pay $40 for the privilege.  Sometimes the parking fee machines don't work. Sometimes still having to walk several blocks which can be unpleasant if it is freezing out.    Or valet and have valet service take another 20 minutes to retrieve your car.   Also there were protestors around Black Friday.
Minor annoyances but they add up if there are better alternatives.

I still can't figure out how Oak Brook doesn't get more provider traffic. It's got something like 200k people working there daily and a few other towns 20 minutes away that are in the top 10 in population in Illinois. It's also central to a lot of areas unlike Schaumburg.  I would think that it would work well for more ladies to do something like tue/wed suburbs and thurs-on downtown/Chicago. Or reverse it. Personally, I'll go as far as Schaumburg (I'm south of Oak Brook) but going to either Rosemont/O'hare is tough with all the traffic and their is no chance I'm going to the city. Takes to long, it's to far and a complete hassle. It might be a good thing, I probably hobby less because of the lack of choices..

and like you, I do not answer emails containing complements.

Unless there's an appointment request in an email with screening information, that email goes ignored forever. Repeated emails like that from the same source are permanently blocked.

Time is money, yo!

I have never, not once, had a good client email me for anything other than an appointment request. It just doesn't happen.

Lots of nice hotels in the area and it's right at the junction of I-88 & I-294 while
I-355 is very close and I-55 has an exit literally minutes away on Route 83.
I think it's overlooked because folks don't know how convenient it is.
And, here's the biggie, free parking! Way more convenient for me, and many
others, than the O'Hare hotels.

Jamie's post pretty much hits on all cylinders. Disappearance time and hobby budget were 2 of my biggest factors for booking an appt. I always saw who I wanted to see, but I waited for them to host in a convenient place for me to access.

I remember two times where I got no-showed many years ago, and I got stuck paying a $20 parking fee to boot. That is why I rarely went into Rosemont or the city. Oakbrook and Schaumburg always worked out best for me, and even that would be a bit of a drive for me these days.  :-)

SOME Chicago males can be little bitches.

Even while dating they bitch about driving into the suburbs or vice versa driving into the city it just depends where THEY reside. Really, lazy lazy fucks.  I will tell you this, the ones that complain about such thing escort dating or real life dating are not good company anyway. Why they would even bother to communicate such a  complain is concrete evidence that they are "special".

As with real life dating, if they truly want you they will make it happen, PERIOD.
