This morning I found the red rose you left on my pillow. It's scent filled my senses with memories of the steamy night we spent together. It began when we met, under that huge tree in the park. It was nearly dark, and we were alone. I lifted a hand to brush your hair away from your eyes. My fingers lingered on your cheek, straying down through your beard, and I placed a light breathy kiss on the curve of your neck. Your breath quickened, and I leaned into you, man-scent making my knees weak.

I looked away, and said, "Let's have dinner and think about this..." Over dinner, I let my feet do the talking under the table. I will never forget the expression on your face, mortified and titillated, all at once, unable to tell me to stop. You made me laugh, and you laughed with me. From that moment on, our delight never ceased, not until we both gave in to sleep, spooning under the covers, content and complete.
