I have seen several posts on tipping and my only question (since I generally tip) has been do providers with a really high rate expect a tip.  
The majority of answers I have seen from providers is they generally do not expect a tip ... and a few said they would rather have repeaters than tippers.  
So is this out of the ordinary >>>  there is a provider here in RDU who has an upper end rate to begin with ... and ... in her text says she thinks it is proper to tip at least half of the stated rate.  Sounds out of line to me but I could be wrong and why I won't see her even though she is very highly reviewed.  Thoughts???

I wrote the original post from memory.   I just went back and read what she wrote and she did not say at least half ... she said at least 40%    

appreciation for a job or service well done. It is not a requirement by any means for anyone. I know that I am probably not one of the most generous hobbyist but I do try to show my appreciation in whatever way I can afford. However some people seem to believe that tips should be guaranteed no matter what type of service they provide.  

That's hilarious! Even a 40% tip, instead of 50%. Seriously? LOL!!! Stay FAR AWAY from that one! I read ladies ads, and it never ceases to amaze me, the level of snooty, uppity behavior. If a lady comes off that way in her advertising, I can only imagine the actual meeting. Tips are great, but I for one don't EVER expect them. It even took me a long time to add a "gift" page to my website because I found it so incredibly tacky to read website after website, where girls listed ideas for gifts like designer handbags, even BMWs. Seriously lol? Guys like to bring gifts sometimes, and it's very sweet, but to expect a tip equaling half the rate or a $500 handbag is asinine. I've received some great gifts over the years but they were completely unexpected. When I finally decided to add a gift page to my website it was only because so many guys would ask me about it. And all i have listed is gift cards to some very modest places.  It's not only ladies exhibiting dangerous or unprofessional behavior that ruins it for the rest of us, those who think they're "better" than everyone else and have a superiority complex leave a bad impression too.

I'm staying with my "BSC" call. 40 percent! I have a better tip ... Stop acting like a spoiled ass and maybe you'll get more clients. Tips are for excellent service, but she joins the list of self-entitled, dumb asses that are ruining the hobby. My guess is she "expects" nothing lower than 10s on her reviews. I'd get married again if I wanted to put up with that type of douchebaggery, I'll be damned if I'll pay for the privilege.

You are the type of provider who deserves tips because your service is always excellent and it was my way of saying, "THANK YOU"

It's assumed most of us ladies have or at least should haves rates they are happy with regardless if they get tips or not. And imo a tip isn't really a tip if it's asked for/coerced etc.

While tipping extra cash is always nice for a great time I like to put some thought into it.  Since to me a tip is something extra to show my appreciation.  As I get to know a lady, I may pick up something I know she enjoys - a favorite wine wrapped attractively,  gift cards to a restaurant or place I've learned she likes to shop, tickets to a favorite concert or game ...  I enjoy showing my appreciation and obviously the more I enjoy our time the more appreciation I will show.  
If a lady wants and thinks she deserves more I have no problem with her charging more.  I don't mind paying it if she is worth it.  But someone who computes her rate by an amount plus tip - that's a turn off.

Sorry, I hate people whose behavior are the following,
Setting expectations as X, and then they expect Y.

Looks like it's working out, so kudos to her. I'll admit that I'm tempted to find out if she's worth it.

I thank the providers for providing answers. i recently saw a "visiting" provider who's rate was VERY reasonable and lower than some of the local rates. Her performance was OUTSTANDING her client focus was stellar and very classy! I felt guilty that I didn't bring money for a tip. I will definitely be trying to see her again when she returns and will have extra.

I do have to agree with Mature GFE and most of the above comments. I remember when I worked at the "Punch Line" for $1.65 an hour and relied on tips for ever day living. I do not forget those days and I did have a wonderful experience living and working in Charlotte.  

Bird ... it was not at all my intension to post what could be taken as a negative review which is why I won't say who she is, she's done nothing wrong to me ... I just though this approach was a bit out of line and wanted to hear what others thought.  Although it seems at least a couple of people know who she is.  

I am in the service industry myself, and tipping is really not in my job market..  But I do have a few clients who will give me something here and there which is great but not expected at all. I think this girl is nuts to expect that right up front.  I did somewhat recently go to see a girl in GSO..  Good looking and nice on the phone and in person when I first got there.. She had like one posted review so I thought I would just give it a shot since my regular lady friend was out of town for the holidays..   As her and I were talking, I was getting ready to lay my envelope down on the table and she made one comment and the way she said it, that made me stop..  U can lay your donation and tip down on the table over there.. And it was also the way she said it..   Then I stopped and asked her about it.  That she expected a tip of roughly 25% and up..  Things went down hill from there and I walked right out.. lol..   The way I see it a tip is earned and not just automatically given..   And, usually the first time I see a provider I don't always tip, as a matter of fact it is pretty rare that I do tip the first time around, cuz I am more into getting to know her a bit, likes and dislikes and so forth, nothing personal but to see if we can actually click..   Then if I decide to go see her then I will put some thought into it and take it to her..  I do have one girl that I see occasionally, for like 2 hrs or so a trip, that it means more to her that I bring something other then the donation..     There are times when/if I am just going to be passing by her in call location..  That I call her up and ask her if she is busy or clear atm when I am going to be driving by.. I just stop and drop off small things to her.. I have even just left a bag at her door step and texted her that she had a prezzie waiting for her..   To her that means a lot more then just the $.

So many guys let the little head do the thinking for them, and that simply "rewards bad behavior"

If everyone would do the same as you and simply walk out the door, hopefully without leaving a nickel, these bad actors would have to rethink the wisdom of their actions. In the meantime, as long as guys cave to their demands, the average ROB has no reason to change her behavior. After all, from her POV, why should she? She makes more money for less work, life is pretty good from her perspective.

Yes, I go with your plan to wait to 2nd dates to tip, mostly)  Today was different----When she first arrived I had the regular donation in the envelope and I was MOST IMPRESSED with her PERSONALITY that I put 1/2 the tip in with the regular donation. I then waited to see if she liked to do the dance steps that make for a 9, or better score---Yuppers) While she was singing in the shower, I doubled the appreciation)  Also, don't forget to voice your appreciation for these ladies TIME, the most precious of things that we possess that can be given to another)  Tell your Mom that you love her, too)
