TER is a boys club. Its for men, by men. (Us ladies just happen to be able to use it for our advertising and we have our own lil private board to hang out on.) So reviews need to be somewhat graphic, yes. Doesn't mean you can't still word things in a way to keep it respectful. But you definitely need to include what services were performed. It helps the next guy decide whether to see her. The scoring system itself is very subjective and open to interpretation since everyone has different opinions on looks and performance, but by including lots of details in the review it definitely helps.

References:

Are generally mandatory, and a standard practice. It may be weird to you, being new, but for everyone else its normal. References serve a very important purpose for us ladies- By checking with other women you have visited with, it lets us know that #1, you aren't a cop. And #2, that based on your history so far, you aren't going to rob us, assault us, short us, completely stiff us, have good hygiene, are not an ass, and are generally an all around pleasure to deal with.

Of course there are always those bitches that are territorial, and like to keep clients to themselves, and don't give references. Or threaten to out clients, throw fits, or otherwise act shady and unprofessional so that they can keep a guy to themselves. But those of us that are professional, have class, common sense, value ours and other ladies safety, and understand that this is a business and that a guy is free to see or not see who he likes, when he likes- we have no problem giving references. You don't necessarily have to contact a lady to ask her first, but its polite and respectful, absolutely. And can help speed up the process is she knows ahead of time to keep an eye out for a reference request.  


I'd recommend that you visit the Newbie Board, as you can ask questions there, as well as read up on important info. Theres also a link there to the newbie guide. Lots of helpful info.

MOST ladies have no problems giving out refs. If a "lady" gets territorial and nasty about it, well that lets you know to NOT see her again as she's a loose cannon.

I'm not sure if you are new to the "hobby" or just new to TER. If you're new to the hobby then  the Newbie Board may help you out. It can't hurt to check it out!

Hi I am the new guy in greenville sc. I would like to know about the review process here on TER. I had several kicked back for not being uh... graphic or descriptive enough. Do you ladies welcome reviews that are so descriptive? I guess I feel like the person I just spent an afternoon with wouldnt appreciate the blow by blow account of our time. Am I wrong?

Also, seems awkward to me to get ladies to vouch for me when I want to see a different person? Is this something I need to ask of the provider or should she just do it on her own? I know why it would be an important part of the screening process but I just find it awkward.

I do not like the kiss and tell aspect of reviews. Reviews are nice and have their place. I am told gentlemen love them. As I caution any gentleman, who tells me he plays by the reviews.. What Joe Blow says he got. May not be the truth and Just because Joe blow might have gotton that lucky does not guarantee that you will.... read, read well, read between the lines, trust your instinct about a lady and good luck...The biggest reason I ever want a review is so that the gentlemen know that I am safe, sane, normal, respectful and dependable etc, etc.. What I do in the privacy of my bedroom should be private...

References. It should not be awkard at all. Most ladies assume if you have seem her you will see some one else. There is no room for jealousy in this little world.. You do not need to ask for permission.. It is helpful if you let your lady friend know that Ms so and so will be calling. So that she can make sure to call your new friend back in a timely fashion. Part of the fun of this little hobby. Should be, being able to be honest and fullfill those fantasy's.

She is right, too! Legit ladies understand that we may enjoy spending time with more than one lady. The references are basicly for their safety. I actually don't see ladies that don't check on me. Heck, I use TER to check on them.

As far as reviews, they are for us to get an idea of what our time with a lady may be like. Just be honest! Don't lie and tell us what happened.

Personally, in all my years here on TER, I think I have written only 18 or so reviews. The past several years I have been unable to write reviews as is TER's policy for moderators.  Most of them were to warn of the bad providers. Early on I did write reviews that were complimentary and lauded the talents and abilities of the lady I saw. However, it soon became obvious to me that a woman with many many reviews didn't actually need my review to be posted, she was already well reviewed.

The truth of the matter, I preferred to keep the details of my experience to myself. To live those memories out over and again in my mind rather than to share them on a public forum. While that is obviously a selfish position to take, and it didn't contribute to the board at all, adding one more review to a woman with more than 15 or 20 didn't seem to me to make a difference. Some reviews in my opinion are degrading and seemingly unbelievable. Why write a review in such a manner as to degrade the woman that you just spent time with? This makes no sense to me, and should I wish to see her again, it very well may make a difference in her availability, to me.

To review or not to review. That is the question. Do with that as you feel comfortable. Understand, your decision to review will always be there, linked to your user name.

With regards to references, any provider who chooses to be upset about giving a reference, isn't worth seeing. The women are our fantasy dates for whatever time period we pay them to be. And then, we go our separate ways. That's why there is an envelope involved, it helps keep things in perspective. Any woman who becomes upset or withholds giving referral information to another woman is simply digging her own grave so to speak. References are the key to our safety and the safety of the ladies too.

You are a lucky man to be in your geographical location. The women there are not only hot as hell, they are sweet as sugar. Be careful in your selections, know full well that a provider who has no reviews or just one or two will be a high risk and the well reviewed women, a hell of a good time. Stick with the well reviewed and you most likely will have few regrets.

At the end of a session I'll often ask an escort if it's OK for me to post a blow-by-blow review on TER. If she already has several reviews, I usually don't bother asking. If she doesn't seem to be aware of the kind of graphic details that get described, I'll make sure she knows what I'm asking her to agree to. A couple of girls have asked me not to post a review. In some cases, I get a sense they want me to suggest rather than describe as much as possible. But most girls tell me it's fine with them to tell all in graphic detail, as long as it's confined to the VIP section. One escort who told me that still sort of freaked when she actually read my review. Although she calmed down once I assured her that it was par for the course on TER and wouldn't be accessed by non-members, I learned that I need to be more careful.

I don't believe that it is degrading in the slightest to frankly describe what happened. Although I don't want my review to violate a trust between client and provider, I try to write it in a way that above all serves not her, but the reader--other "hobbyists" searching for a girl to spend their money on. Reviews that appear written to please the provider don't serve much purpose IMHO. You can't tell what to make of them, and ultimately, they don't promote a girl's services nearly as well as an account that reads more like a "boys' club."

The other tendency to watch out for is the review that reads too much like a boast. It's OK to put yourself in the story in a way that others can relate, as long as you remember that you're not the hero, she is. She's the one that other dudes are interested in evaluating, not the stud who paid $$$ for her to act her part. That can be hard to keep in mind, and I confess I haven't always managed to in my own reviews.

I had and still have the same reaction as you describe - many of the reviews you read seem too much like locker-room bragging, and I was and still am uncomfortable describing intimate details.  But then I had the same problem with TER - I kept getting reviews rejected for not enough details.

Now I always ask a provider if she would like a review.  Most of them say they would.  I think even those who have many reviews get a benefit from the TER community seeing that they are desirable by having recent reviews posted.  A few have said no thanks, and I am happy to respect their wishes.  There was one occasion when I had a bad experience and felt the need to post the review to warn others, but otherwise I do not put up a review unless (a) I enjoyed the time (which is almost always the case anyway), and (b) the provider wants a review.
