Yeah, I agree about the threads. I was thinking about it last night when I noticed that some recent threads did not look cohesive. We will have to use the quote function to be understood, and that could get old. I like the ad icons though, even if it is more work for the Mods. I hope it won't be, eventually.

I think it will make it easier for hobbyists to zone in on the ads. I hope that does not deter people from reading the conversation threads. It would be a shame if men and women both were to come here only to read and post ads.

Concentrating on promoting a reputation second to none for accurate reviews is probably a huge draw. The conversations, personalities, and sense of community are the icing on the cake that make people want to return more often. It's part of what keeps the lurkers hooked, and, I believe, one of the factors that eventually lead them into membership.

There I go again, running on and on. I know I tend to over analyze every situation, but what the hey? I hope somebody enjoyed the read, and decides to ad their own views. As the developers work, I am sure TER can use all the feedback it can get right now.
