When I was a child, I dreamed of running away from home and living the life of a Hermit, hunting, fishing, living off the land
)
Made it to bout 3 different colleges/universities following my obligation to those who wore the uniform and never made it back home
( My closest childhood friend
(,,, At 16 we roamed all over NC, especially The Gorge, had the bejesus scared out of us one night watching the Brown Mtn Lights!!!!
As Davy Crockett sang at the Alamo(Movie), "Farewell to the mountains, whose mazes I knew, more beautiful far than Eden could be..;.." The Bed and Breakfasts early in the morning with their smells, sounds from the kitchen, the rushing steam just outside our window, how quiet it was when we were the only guests. The cool rain on a tin roof, sitting on a porch with a blanket and a cat in the lap for warmth^..^, both sharing a moment of peace and contentment at what has to be a glimpse of what is waiting on the other side in that place called "Heaven."
AND the LADIES I knew before joining The Hobby, who have a special place in my memory;P~~~
THEN, the LADIES of Asheville occupying the Kat place , and a Touch... with a few years between, sharing the same place in my Heart as well;P~~~
AH! As the plaque says---"If you live in the mountains, that is enough!
)
I have spent the past couple of years living by the ocean and making memories with the ladies there, but something has been missing, and I need to replenish my soul by a campfire somewhere in the deep woods, with just my memories for a bit
)
My boy knows where to spread my ashes, when that time comes, hopefully, a few years, and another bunch of memories with the ladies off in the distance
