I am planning a trip to the Biltmore Estate, and wondered how you ladies do as far as work goes in that area? Feel free to reply or PM me.

You know better than to go to the Biltmore estates without me!
When are you going?

I am coming stay with you fool when you get your boobies done. I figure, I can take care of you and then sneak off to go work ha ha.

There is great fun to be had about 4 hours east of there, LOL.

Well, get to driving bwahahha. I am going for fun first, and work second. My girl lives in Charlotte, so that's a sure thing.

Certainly understand the "fun" part.  It is beautiful up there, especially in the spring.  Charlotte is a bit closer but I enjoy the mountains.  Who knows, if you decide to work maybe it will work out.  Either way, hope you enjoy your visit to my home state!

I live in Charlotte, but have business there so I make   frequent trips. I love it.

Thinking about a road trip myself :)

Go eat at Shately Springs, go rock sliding at Jonas Hole, go to the Scottish Highland games. Go tubing down Wilsons Creek and THEN tell me Asheville is better! You cannot do it!

You can google all those places just named.

Asheville is cool, but not close to Boone, Banner Elk, Linville. I lost my you know what(virginity) one night atop Grandfather Mountain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Horray ME!!!!!!!! What a view!

Asheville got lots and lots of earthy folks. birkinstock type folks, cool and all but they ain't got Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, GrandFather Mountain!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any of you remember The Land of Oz at Beech Mountain? I went to college with the girl that played Dorothy!!!!!!! One wild night zoned out of my mind on mushrooms we went up there and I grabbed one of the foam mushrooms and kept it for years!!!!!!!!!!!!

Avery, Watauga County ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Four distinct seasons! Google the High Country and see for yourself! Skiing, the fall is known all over for the place to be for the leaves changing views, the WoolyWorm Festival! Damn I am homesick! And the greatest friendliest coolest people on earth! The spring blooming so bright, the summer warm but not much humidity! Go listen to Neil Young sing Sugar Mountain and get the hell up there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I Concur!

Shifterp OUT!

I love the Biltmore Estate and I've yet to actually sleep at "The Inn" plus my girl is getting her tits done, and needs a nurse. I'm just saying. Compared to New Orleans, y'all bitches be crazy bwahahhaa.

I say 12 bones for bbq and nine mile for some Caribbean, no crawfish but they have spliff cake.

Asheville is a cool place do not get me wrong, I sobered up 28 years ago at a center in Black Mtn so it is near and dear to my heart.

Avery and Watauga County Banner Elk, Boone is not only the coolest place in NC but the greatest area in the WORLD! Oh how I love and miss the High Country! Lived up there for 17 years anmiss home EVERYDAY! When I win the lottery that is where I am going.

Just wanted to set that straight! Plus there is a place on the parkway between Blowing Rock and Wilkesboro that is THE most beautiful spot on the EARTH! It is a lookout spot and you look down over the whole valley. At night the silence is incredible and you lok out over the valley and Statesville that way, Elkin the other! It is SPECTACULAR and the most peaceful place on earth.

I challenge anyone to go up there at night and just look and tell me I am mistaken, you CANNOT do it.

I Concur!

Shifterp OUT!

It's kinda like visiting the Grand Canyon. The view is awesome and after a half hour you look at each other and say, "Okaaay....I guess it's time to go.

Asheville has both scenery and some nightlife...and near an airport, LOL.

LOL

From what I can remember OT Blowing Rock, ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After the view take your lady friend to the Bed and Breakfast at Shatley Springs! They got trout ponds to fish in and a GREAT GREAT country cooking meal. Plus Boone has The Daniel Boone Inn and Makatos.

But after the view OT you go back to a cool cabin, chilly, and get the fire going and in front of the fire, play I can please you better then you can please me! Can't say I always win but DAMN is it a fun game.

Then in Ashe County they got Wine Vineyards and Cheese Factories!

Plus OT the Mountains are not for nightlife, they are for enjoying how beautiful it is, how GREAT it smells, it is just the best.

If you want an exciting nightlife stay in Charlotte.

if you want a peaceful wonderful moment followed by a romantic getaway with peace serenity and passion and GREAT FOOD, comfy cabins, cozy fireplaces to snuggle....crap man if you can't get it I can't tell yas!

If you go to Asheville and think it is the shit just plain and simple you are wrong. That is cool cause I love asheville too, ever been to the Light Center(Black Mountain)? That PLACE IS GREAT! Google it! Spent new years up there one time and these chinese dudes were banging drums all night! Man was that cool!

I sobered up there so do not get me wrong, went to Biltmore, GREAT! It is just up further North is just better. Google The High Country! More tourists go there than Asheville, WHY????? They got Tweetsie Fricking Railroad! Go ride that and the Indians jump on the train and scare the crap out of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I grew up there, that is why I am so partial! Appalachian State ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Mountaineers! Horray Avery and Watauga Counties!!!!!!! Miss HOME the more I type!
And Lees Mcrae, the College that Cares!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Place behind the Millpond wher they got a bridge just after the dam behind the pond! You can sit on the bridge and the water coming off the damn is so loud you cant hear yourself think! Kinda the point! Just a very very special place! WoolyWorm Festival and shit!!!!!!! Damn, I miss home!

Nice quiet romantic...yeah that is the ticket! I have had about all the damn excitement I can handle. I want some relaxing peace.

let the yoinger folks have all that nightlife crap. I want to watch me some TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shifterp OUT!

When I was a child, I dreamed of running away from home and living the life of a Hermit, hunting, fishing, living off the land:))

Made it to bout 3 different colleges/universities following my obligation to those who wore the uniform and never made it back home:(( My closest childhood friend:((,,, At 16 we roamed all over NC, especially The Gorge, had the bejesus scared out of us one night watching the Brown Mtn Lights!!!!

As Davy Crockett sang at the Alamo(Movie), "Farewell to the mountains, whose mazes I knew, more beautiful far than Eden could be..;.." The Bed and Breakfasts early in the morning with their smells, sounds from the kitchen, the rushing steam just outside our window, how quiet it was when we were the only guests. The cool rain on a tin roof, sitting on a porch with a blanket and a cat in the lap for warmth^..^, both sharing a moment of peace and contentment at what has to be a glimpse of what is waiting on the other side in that place called "Heaven."

AND the LADIES I knew before joining The Hobby, who have a special place in my memory;P~~~
THEN, the LADIES of Asheville occupying  the Kat place , and a Touch...  with a few years between, sharing the same place in my Heart as well;P~~~

AH! As the plaque says---"If you live in the mountains, that is enough!:))

I have spent the past couple of years living by the ocean and making memories with the ladies there, but something has been missing, and I need to replenish my soul by a campfire somewhere in the deep woods, with just my memories for a bit:))

My boy knows where to spread my ashes,  when that time comes, hopefully, a few years, and another bunch of memories with the ladies off in the distance:))

Don't even get me started on "great food" in the Carolina's bwahahhaha. Cmon...I've had lipo like 4 times living in New Orleans. Y'all can't do that shit!

I can tell you that you will enjoy yourself and it appears that you will probably get at least one nice warm day to enjoy also. As this thread discussion goes both places are absolutely beautiful, Asheville has a little less Rednecks....lol
Make sure you check out the theater and some bars downtown!
Good Luck & Enjoy

is indeed extremely beautiful. The place is huge and the staff is awesome, plenty of room to get lost.

Good Luck, and be careful
