I have been looking at provider reviews. One of the linked personal websites has "been Paused by the owner".

1.  The provider has gone UTR?
2.  The provider isn't anymore?
3.  The provider has all the clients she wants?
4.  Other?
5.  Who cares?  Find another provider.

I got it....

He is asking what does it mean...

been paused by the owner.
I have never seen that either.

Is his question, pointless?

Maybe not entirely pointless, imho.  My guess is she's prob retired, 9 times out of 10 (???).  I've seen paused sites plenty of times, but it could mean anything.  Maybe changing her pseudonym, too, or relocating.  Provider's perogative to do whatever w/out notice, although consistency and/or notice is preferable.  As a hobbyist, it might be nice if TER gave providers a option to indicte what thier status is...  "available, on extended vacation, retired, utr, or none of your beeswax, etc."  Or just opt out of it... whatever.

Then again, that's probably best left to their own site.  I've seen a few announce retirement before or after the fact, which is a nice memorable touch... not that we'd ever forget any of you sweethearts... :-) A few even came out of retirement... certainly always a good thing. ;-)

Bottom line, Sphinxnc, I figure that if a provider hasn't had a review on TER or elsewhere in a year and/or their site is paused, you can usually fugetaboutit & move on.
