Richland Co. attorney accused of soliciting sex, posing as SLED agent

(Columbia) November 2, 2006 - SLED agents have arrested an attorney who they say both solicited a person who he thought was a prostitute for sex and impersonated a SLED agent.

Officials say xxxxx, 42, met with an undercover SLED agent who was posing as a prostitute at Western Inn on Bush River Road. They say during the meeting, Pearman pulled out a badge and called himself a SLED agent.

Pearman was booked at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. The case will be prosecuted by the 5th Circuit Solicitor's Office.

I thought it was very interesting that the way he got caught was via a reverse sting by SLED ... Amazing how many folks are missing that little tidbit ...
