What did I do wrong?? I called a provider thats pretty good about seeing me spur of the moment.  I have been seeing for a while. I hit some traffic call her to tell her I will be 10min. late. "is that ok" I ask, "sure no problem" she says. I get there earlier than I though I would, called her to let her know I was there.   NOTHING!! She never responded to me. I left her two messages 15-20min apart, first said I was here, second one said Im sorry if there was a missunderstanding...still nothing. She has yet to return my call. Was it something I said? Im trying to be objective...did she grow weary of my spur of the moment routine?...if she couldnt do it just tell me...

She may have just had an issue come up and was unable to call or talk to you.  They have lives too.  Wait a while to try to get up with her.  I am sure its not you based on what you posted.

Had a very similar thing happen to me a couple days ago.  Simply no-showed with no response and no reply to msgs.  Such is life.

Hopefully she will sign up for the phone etiquette class :)

I'm sure she'll come up with one great excuse.
When you do hear from her..perhaps you should tell her you have found a provider who "Picks Up"

She can't use the excuse of not having your number since you had called. Yes we do have lives and sometimes things are last minute so yes give her a day or so to explain. If she doesn't then perhaps you need to find someone else to see. IF she said it was no problem with your tardiness, then she does owe you an explanation.
No call No show with no explanation is not acceptable for either party.

One heck of a deal for her disrespectful behavior. If you tolerate the behavior it will continue.

I've recently had similar issues with e-mails. Last week I sent three e-mails to providers that prefer e-mail contact. Two of them never replied, the other replied 2 days later to ask "what time do I prefer" and after I replied, I never heard back. I really hope this is because they are so busy that they can't get to all of them and meet all of their appointments too. On my busiest days, I try to return all calls and e-mails, even if it's to say "no" or "I'm still working on it". That's what professionals do ans I guess I expect that of others.

Just last week I didn't hear back from a favorite provider but she did finally call this week to explain. If you think you've got a good rapport with her, she will get back to you and explain.

I've had a provider need to leave mid-session because she got a call about her kids. Of course she returned half the donation but the point is life happens and it can't be planned.

But then there's also the flip side, like the provider I called to say traffic was unexpectedly horrible and I'd probably be 5-10 minutes late so we'll have to shorten the session because I didn't expect her to stay later because of my tardiness. She went completely apesh!t on me about how she hates late people, completely disrespecting her time, etc etc. Didn't matter I was being respectful and calling instead of just showing up late. Needless to say I didn't keep the session and never bothered seeing her again.

If she calls and explains, she's a keeper. If not, consider yourself lucky you learned rather easily. Things happen, and both sides need to be somewhat understanding when they do.
