Greenville South Carolina is a very popular city right now, downtown or the Woodruff Road area hotels would be an ideal spot.
I've been considering adding SC or NC to my tour... Can anyone recommend which of the 2 would be best to tour? And best high end areas to host in?

I recommend NC for touring and as for the cities it would Charlotte or Raleigh.
Either choice I think would work well for you...Maybe do both cities while you are in NC.
NC and either two cities Tarheel mentioned above, without a doubt.
